The Awazi African Heritage Center, located in San Jose, California, is proud to announce the launch of its fall programs, designed to celebrate African heritage and promote community growth. Dedicated to empowerment, inclusivity, and social impact, these offerings aim to enrich lives and foster meaningful connections within the community.

Empowering Your Finances

Our "Growing Your Own Economy" workshop and literature series begin Friday, November 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event will also feature the release of a new book. This series is focused on creating AI digital products, building personal and community wealth, securing funding for businesses, and launching ventures with minimal resources. The goal is to support local residents in fostering economic growth and prosperity.

Immersive Cultural Experiences

Delve into African art, history, and culture at exhibitions featuring renowned Benin sculptors and international artists. These public exhibitions invite tourists, students, and families to discover and engage with African heritage, enhancing cultural understanding and appreciation.

Nourishing Body and Soul

Enjoy the tastes of Africa with hands-on cooking classes and culinary tastings scheduled for October 28, 2025, and November 25, 2025. Hosted in partnership with local chefs and beverage makers, these events support the local economy and provide opportunities for cultural exchange through food.

Holistic Wellness

Experience holistic health and wellness sessions that integrate traditional African practices with modern techniques. By promoting natural medicine and wellness, the center aims to reduce healthcare costs by $200,000 and enhance community well-being.
