Our own Judy Kramer will host members and guests of the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto at her solo photography exhibit, 'Water: The Gift of Life,' at the Pacific Art League on Saturday, October 24, from 4:30–5:30 PM. After the event, members can gather for a no-host dinner at a nearby restaurant. The 33 framed nature photographs feature water in its various forms – liquid, frozen, and v***r – taken mostly in the Western United States, Canada, and Greenland. The Pacific Art League is located at 668 Ramona Street in downtown Palo Alto, with parking available on the street or under Palo Alto City Hall across the street. On Saturday, Sep 26th at 3pm, Palo Alto and Neighbors Abroad are having a community street fair called a Calenda, celebrating Maasai Mara, Kenya, Oaxaca, Mexico, and Palo, Philippines, all places where Palo Alto has relationships. Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto member Barb Mackraz is helping with the Maasai Mara part, and her Oliveseed programs in education and for women will be part of the exhibit. It will be a very festive and fun day! We might even have a few guests from Kenya. The Palo Alto Kiwanis will have a table there - come by and check it out!

25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001

Twenty-five years later, we remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation and touched the lives of people around the world. The Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto, CA joins our community in honoring the innocent lives lost on that tragic day, the brave first responders who ran toward danger, the military members who answered the call to defend our nation, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

We are happy to announce that our 2026 Angel Award recipient is Chris Bischof, the Co-Founder and Principal of Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto.

Chris has a long history of providing excellent education opportunities for many "first in their families" college-bound students and has had an amazing success rate with Eastside students attending 4-year colleges including some of the most prestigious in the country.

He continues the pattern of exceptional individuals who have been presented the Angel Award in the past.

We invite you to attend the event that will be held at the Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel on Wednesday, 10/28/26 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Tickets are now available for $85 through the link or the QR code in the photo.
