WENDER WEIS FOUNDATION for CHILDREN since 1994 has been committed to improving self-esteem and self-confidence of children living in underserved communities across the SF Bay Area. When children believe in themselves, they are able to develop the emotional, social, and physical skills that allow them to lead healthy, motivated, and inspired lives. We donate proceeds from our fundraising efforts to

local outreach programs bridging the gap for children with inspiring opportunities. From responsibility to trust to cooperation to gratitude, our goal is to play role in building character in the next generation. With over a two decade legacy we are known for sustaining and advancing impactful youth and family programs. We rally philanthropists, educators, coaches, legislatures, and superheroes alike to inspire kids. We distribute grants to sports teams, after school programs, hospitals, shelters and environmental agencies. Investment criteria is focused on quality of programs and lives touched. EXPERIENCES . Each year we host two in person events, Holiday Heroes and Children’s Champions, along with a myriad of other community activities throughout the year, expose children to wonder and possibility in their own lives.

Wender Weis Foundation for Children (WWFC)
believes all kids deserve a chance to just be kids.

We encourage youth to play hard, laugh loud, stand tall, and dream big through access to sports, after-school programs, healthcare services, and exceptional experiences.

WWFC amplifies other non-profit youth-serving organizations by creating awareness, visibility and giving moments through our community service outreach and events.

For over 3 decades, WWFC has provided hope, access, and opportunity for children and their families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We share with pride that we have not only accomplished this objective year after year but – in collaboration with our long-time supporters, volunteers, local sports teams, and many of the Bay Area’s most beloved athletes – achieved more than we could have dreamed possible.

It is our amazing community of givers and supporter’s who have inspired us to do more, serve more, and be the sparkle in the eyes of children. We would not be where we are today without our compassionate, generous and supportive community.

WWFC CELEBRATING 31 YEARS OF COMMUNITY!

As the Wender Weis Foundation for Children celebrates its 31st year, we are proud to also honor 30 years of partnership with the Giants Community Fund and Junior Giants-our very first and still largest beneficiary.

From the very beginning, the Giants Community Fund and Junior Giants organizations believed in us as a young nonprofit.

Together, we’ve created three decades of memories, mentorship, and impact for underserved youth throughout the Bay Area.

The Giants Community Fund, the nonprofit arm of the San Francisco Giants, empowers youth through baseball and softball on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Since 1991, it has contributed $48 million to community programs and reached nearly 500,000 youth, supported by a volunteer board and generous donors.

Junior Giants, the Fund’s flagship program, is a free, noncompetitive baseball and softball league for ages 5-18. Each year, 28,000 players across 83 leagues learn lessons in character, health, education, and bullying prevention -while receiving uniforms, gear, and tickets at no cost.
