PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE
There are many people who are barely making ends meet. There are mothers who are struggling to buy diapers for their children. There are many, many people still out of work. Support services are being cut back everywhere. People are losing hope. Something had to be done. Two local entrepreneurs decided to get involved. Lawrence King and Keith A. n. The two of them have been collecting food, clothing, diapers, and non-perishable items to distribute among those in need. They have been doing this for the past four years. Working with business partners at Safeway, Target, Lucky, Levi's and others they have made a big difference in the lives of hundreds of individuals and families. During this time they have collected over two tons of food and hundreds of articles of clothing, shoes, bicycles and beds. They have also collected over nine hundred pounds of toiletries, detergent, shampoo, razors and lotion. These efforts were achieved with just two volunteers. King and Mr. Young)
In recent months the need has grown even larger and Mr. King decided it was time to turn this volunteer activity into a socially responsible business enterprise. PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE is a partnership with ________________________church and Young Enterprises Ltd. Mr. King will direct operations of this entity which will operate as a 501 c3. King plans to collaborate with even more business partners in an effort to increase the number organizations, families and individuals being served
