The face you make when everyone’s too busy to throw your ball for you…

Sunny D is generally a very chill gal — more of a house hippo/ couch potato than a hiking partner. But if you want to see her silly side, grab a BALL — any ball — and watch her come to life!

Sunny D is the sweetheart of our rescue. Fostered by our photographer, she’s attended many an intake and photo shoot and has greeted dogs (and cats) politely. She’s got those soulful Pibble eyes and is an excellent cuddle buddy.

And that tail wag? Priceless.

Meet the “End” Puppies! These 9-10 week old Beagle/JRT mix puppies are the cutest little bunch of butts around! (Yes, we said butts. It’s okay. We’re being silly). They each have their own distinct personality, but they all share the most important puppy qualities: they are playful, curious, affectionate, and exceptionally talented at being adorable.

BEEP BEEP! Meet Traffic Cone! This 5-6 month old Aussie mix is, quite simply, a fabulous puppy. He’s one happy little dude who’s ready to navigate this bumpy road called life with you. This handsome fellow is Lugnut, better known to our volunteers as Gentle Bear. Scheduled for euthanasia at a shelter back in June, DPS swooped in at the 11th hour to save his life. From the moment he arrived, this boy has been nothing but sweet. After several vet appointments and time to heal, our Gentle Bear is finally ready for his forever home. He is: quiet, affectionate, house-trained, great on leash (but doesn’t require much exercise), trustworthy when home alone, and good with dogs of all sizes.

Lugnut is the total package! Come meet him tomorrow at our adoption event from 12-3 pm. He’s ready for his happily ever after!

TOP FIVE REASONS TO ADOPT SUNNY D! 🌞

1. The most loyal girl. You have to earn her love, but once you do, she looks at you like you are her entire world. Truly who needs a boyfriend when you can get this kind of love from a dog?

2. So resilient. Despite a tough start she is so eager to learn about the world. Watching her learn how to be a dog is very rewarding.

3. Comically expressive and top tier tail wags. Even when nervous her tail wags. She is also a master at dramatic expressions, big sighs and goofy sploots. You always know just what she is thinking.

4. Gentle natured. Not a dog who will get in your face. Takes treats with the softest mouth. Very respectful of other dogs space. She would make a great companion for a senior or shy dog who requires a little more space.

5. Easy going. While she definitely demands her daily ball time for exercise and could happily chase a ball all day, she is a chill girl who just wants to lounge near her person most of the time

BONUS #6: . Her foster is already way too attached and needs her adopted please!
