"Back to school advertisements, excitement, discussions, and stress have become omnipresent," writes Lauren on the blog.

"This time of year is always a reminder of the children we don’t have, the memories we haven’t been able to create, and the milestones we aren’t an intimate part of.

There are many occasions for grief on the path of infertility, and back to school season can feel like a spotlight on our personal pain and the gifts we haven’t received.

This can easily nudge me into a pit of comparison and despondency if I am not paying attention, and so I wanted to create a back to school 'checklist' for myself that I pray may be helpful for you as well."

St. Paul is the last figure that we walk with in “Scripture and Saints for the Path of Infertility.”

After his conversion, the “Apostle to the Gentiles” dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the Church and the faithful who became his spiritual children.

Following his example, we too can bear witness to Christ in every season and fulfill our part of the Great Commission. 🩵

"I’ve noticed how easy it is to put our lives on hold. We tell ourselves, 'I’ll do that when…'

I’ll take that trip when work slows down. I’ll pursue that project when the season is more optimal. I’ll rest when everything on my to-do list is finished.

For those walking the path of infertility, this can look like delaying vacations because maybe we’ll be pregnant by then, postponing plans because maybe this treatment cycle will work, or waiting to embrace joy until life finally unfolds according to our hopes.

But what if joy doesn’t have to wait?"
