In addition, we strive to offer other community support services that help the welfare of pets. On July 6, 2022, The Lebanon PD, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, killed a loose dog, in cold blood. The 1 year old dog was subdued, and being controlled with a catch pole, but the officers still felt it necessary to end his life with a bullet. His name was Gunner, and our goal is to be sure that NOBODY forget

s his name--We do not want him to have died in vain. As a result, Gunner's Crusade was formed. We have dedicated our time and mission to helping first responders with rescuing animals. Our main goal is to provide training and equipment to first responders, so that they feel equipped and safe when faced with an animal in an emergency situation. We also support families impacted by tragedy like house fires with some of the basic needs for their pet(s). We are registered as a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization with the Federal Government. Thank you to everyone who supported us at the vaccine clinic today! We love meeting everyone and their pets and being sure no one leaves hungry❤️

100% of proceeds go directly to our 501(c)3 non profit which supports and educates first responders & helps fire victims.

Thank you to our volunteers, those who donated food, baked delicious treats, donated extra $, stopped by to help set up and just hang out! We couldn’t do it without you!

In light of another tragic and preventable lethal interaction involving an animal and law enforcement, Gunner’s Crusade remains steadfast in our belief that education, training, and access to appropriate animal-handling techniques can save the lives of animals in our communities.

We advocate for equipping first responders with proven de-escalation strategies, proper restraint methods, and alternative tools that can help safely manage animal encounters whenever possible. Through education and preparedness, we believe many of these incidents can be prevented, protecting both the public and the animals who depend on us for their safety.

Gunner’s Crusade remains committed to supporting training initiatives that promote humane, effective responses and strengthen the bond between first responders and the communities they serve.
