On May 22nd, 2026, the club was proud to conduct a wreath laying ceremony, and provide lunch to anyone working in or around Port Manatee. we recognize and celebrate the hardworking men and women who keep the maritime industry moving — from our ports and terminals to tug operators, longshore workers, mariners, logistics professionals, pilots, seafarers, and everyone who plays a role in global commerce and transportation.

Maritime Day is a reminder of the vital role the maritime industry plays in supporting our economy, strengthening our communities, and connecting the world through trade and transportation.

We are especially proud of the dedicated maritime professionals throughout the Port Manatee community whose work, leadership, and commitment help keep our region strong every day.

Thank you to all who serve and support the maritime industry, and thank you to SeaPort Manatee Operations and Maintenance Department for cooking!

The Port Manatee Propeller Club was proud to celebrate an incredible evening of leadership and service at our Annual Banquet.

We were honored to recognize individuals who continue to make a lasting impact on our maritime community:

⚓ Maritime Person of the Year — Bill Wheeler
⚓ Club Member of the Year — Denise Stufflebeam

We also proudly recognized some additional individuals for their outstanding contributions to the club:

• Rachel Ramsey
• Matthew Nesselroad

This year, we were able to award $16,000 in scholarships to students headed to a number of different universities.

Our club is excited to announce that, for the first time ever, we added two scholarships to students destined for Kingspoint in the fall.

Congratulations to everyone, and thank you to our members and participants who make all of this possible.

Here’s to another great year of fellowship, leadership, and maritime excellence.

The Propeller Club’s golf event at Lakewood National Golf Club on Friday 5/1/2026, was an outstanding success! When I arrived, I gathered my photography gear, a golf cart and I felt the excitement in the air! We’d like to thank the volunteers, Lakewood National GC staff and all of the players for this spectacular event! I captured every team and was thrilled at every teams enjoyment! I’ve included the events photos!

What an incredible day at our Co****le Tournament yesterday! 🎯🌞

Hosted by the Port Manatee Propeller Club, we had an amazing turnout, great competition, and even better energy all around. From first toss to the final match, the vibes were unbeatable.

Huge shoutout to everyone who came out to play, cheer, and support — you made this event such a success! Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who helped organize, set up, and keep things running smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you.
