American Flags for Vets

We recently had the privilege of presenting a flag to USMC veteran David Gledhill. 🇺🇸
David proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1972-1981.
David says he was “a typical jarhead” of MOS 0311 Rifle Infantry. His notable deployments were to Israel, Africa, and to guard the Panama Canal.
We thank you for your dedicated service to our country, David. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

We were honored to present a flag to Army veteran Jack States. 🇺🇸
Jack served from 1963-1971. He enlisted in the US Army Reserves after graduating from law school. After basic military training he was posted to the Cleveland Ohio JAG Detachment. Shortly thereafter he received a direct commission as First Lieutenant and later on was promoted to Captain.
The JAG Corps provides legal assistance to soldiers, adjudicates claims against the Army, advises commands regarding operational law and assists commands in administering military justice. Jack's responsibility was in claims adjudication.

We recently had the honor of presenting a flag to local US Army veteran Gordon Rohrer. 🇺🇸
Gordon is a humble yet proud veteran, who served in artillery in Vietnam from 1969-1970.

An Army veteran of 31 years, Eddie Rosa was recently presented a flag for his dedicated military service. 🇺🇸
Eddie served in the National Guard, active reserves as an Officer in Field and Artillery. He also served as a personnel officer for the Joint Visitor Bureau and as a Deputy Director for JTF Guantanamo.
Thank you for your many years of service to our country, Eddie! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

We were honored to present a flag to US Army veteran Charlie Magnus 🇺🇸
Charlie proudly served in the US Army from 1971-1974. He was a tank mechanic with a tank battalion during the Vietnam Era.
Charlie immediately paid it forward by fully sponsoring a flag for another veteran!

We were honored to present a flag to local veteran Jeff Camp to thank him for his combined 33 years of military service in the US Army and National Guard. 🇺🇸
Jeff had three combat deployments, one each to El Salvador, Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s had many memorable assignments, including being a liaison with the Polish Army.
He’s also very active at Palma Sola Vfw Post 10141.

Bob proudly served in the US Army from 1969-1971. He was field and artillery during the Vietnam War. He is also a recent past Commander of Palma Sola Vfw Post 10141.

Another deserving veteran receives a flag! Meet John Mendel, US Navy veteran. 🇺🇸
John served in the US Navy from 1966-1969 during the Vietnam era. He served on the USS LST-1663, Amphibious Fleet out of Norfolk, VA. He was also stationed at Littlecreek, as an Electrician Mate.
John is very proud of his service and immediately donated toward a flag for another veteran.

We were honored to present a flag to local veteran of 24 years, Pete Anderson 🇺🇸
Pete proudly served 10 years in the US Air Force and 14 years in the US Army. He was deployed 7 times - 5 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan.
He is the current Commander of Palma Sola Vfw Post 10141 in Bradenton.

We were honored to present a flag to US Navy veteran, Bear White. 🇺🇸
Bear served in the Navy from 1980-1992 as a parachute rigger. His notable deployments include Westpac Kittyhawk and World Cruise on the USS Carl Vinson. He’s an FAA Certified Senior Parachute Rigger.
Bear continues to serve in the local Honor Guard.
