🍕👩‍🍳 Summer Camp Fun at The Rising Start!

Our students had an amazing time making their own mini pizzas during summer camp! This fun cooking activity became a hands-on learning experience filled with functional math, life skills, and safety practice.

Students measured ingredients using tablespoons and cups, followed step-by-step directions, and practiced money skills by calculating the cost of their recipe. 💰📊

They also worked on kitchen safety and hygiene routines, including washing hands, wearing aprons and hairnets, and learning how to stay safe while cooking. 🧼👩‍🍳

At The Rising Start, we believe learning should be practical, meaningful, and fun. Every activity helps our students build independence, confidence, communication, and real-life skills for the future. 🌟

As we close another incredible school year, our hearts are full of pride and gratitude. ❤️

This year was filled with new experiences, meaningful friendships, and countless opportunities to grow. Our students explored culinary arts, created and sold their own candles at local markets, practiced customer service skills, learned graphic design, participated in community outings and field trips, and discovered talents they never knew they had.

But beyond the lessons and activities, what makes this year truly special are the moments of confidence, independence, resilience, and joy that blossomed along the way. Every smile, every challenge overcome, every new skill learned is a reminder of what is possible when students are given the support, encouragement, and opportunities they deserve.

To our students: thank you for inspiring us every day. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of you.

Today we celebrate much more than the end of a school year.
