Palmer Fire Dept is selling raffle tickets for a 2026 Polaris Ranger EPS 1000. Tickets are $100 a peice and there are only 200 tickets available. See any of your volunteer firefighters to get a ticket. Remember when you support the fire dept you are supporting the entire community.

🚨🚨 BRIDGE CLOSURE 🚨🚨

Effective immediately

Today, Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Merrick County Roads Department conducted an inspection of a bridge just North of O Road on 7th Road.

The results of the inspection required the bridge be closed to ALL traffic.

This bridge is approximately 3/4 mile south of the Archer Zion Church on 7th Road.

Please under no circumstance drive past the barricades.

If you have any questions, please direct them to the Merrick County Roads Department at 308-946-2164.

Palmer Fire was awarded $4000 from the CHI ST. Francis Ticket to Win It. They have ear marked these funds to update their SCBA packs. This is a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus also know as air masks and air bottles.
