"What is a Nerd?" This was the question last week at the Palmer High School (PHS) Dungeons and Dragons Club meeting. We narrowed the definition down to "an intellectual person passionate about a particular interest."

The next logical question was, "what is Nerd Con 24 about?" Nerd Con is about celebrating nerdery in all its forms. Yes, ultimately Nerd Con AK is the primary fundraising platform for the PHS D&D Club, but it is so much more than D&D.

Last year the Society for Creative Anachronisms (https://www.sca.org/) was present to tell the story of life in medieval times. Meanwhile, across the gym Amtgard Alaska, aka The Kingdom of Northreach (https://www.akamtgard.com/) brought role playing to life with their demos of Live Action Role Playing (LARP).

But last year was just the beginning, and Nerd Con AK can be so much more with your help.

So I ask you this fellow Nerds, what can you bring to Nerd Con 24? Are you in a rocketry club? Ham radio enthusiast? Comic and card collector? Model builder? Bushcrafter? Quilter? Rabid gardener like our PHS School Resource Officer and Club advisor?
