If you haven't tried it, RUN down there and get yourself one! The poblano cream sauce is out of this world. Did you know that it was voted in the top 5 burritos in the entire state of Colorado??

I strongly believe that locally owned/operated restaurants are what makes our community special. I love when I stop in and the entire family is there pitching in to help. Plus baby Arlo snuggles made my dinner complete."

When I was growing up in east Texas, my dad used to take our family for bbq at a wonderful hole-in-the-wall where the smell of wood smoke permeated the whole place and sawdust covered the floor. Until today I haven't had bbq to rival what we used to enjoy there. But now, thanks to Four Daughters BBQ, open inside of Journey's End in Palmer Lake Saturdays and Sundays 12 to 5, today I finally had a brisket sandwich that even exceeded the bbq of my youth.

Four Daughters offers pulled pork, brisket, and chicken along with your choice of sides: beans, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and banana pudding. And in a word, it is TERRIFIC! You can dine in and add a cold one from the bar, or carry your food home, which is what I decided to do. I brought home a brisket sandwich and was delighted to find a choice of additions in my box: both pickled and raw onions, jalapenos, pickles and a container of Kansas City-style sauce. Generous portions. They also sell their BBQ by the pound, half-pound, and family-sized take-out or eat-in combos. My only regret is that I didn't bring home some banana pudding. Thank you, Four Daughters, for opening in Palmer Lake. Another wonderful new business to enhance the experience of living in our lovely community.
