Join the Palm Springs Pride Parade
The ND Club of Palm Springs invites all ND alumni, family, and friends to join us for the 2025 Greater Palm Springs Pride Parade — a joyful celebration of community, connection, and pride in caring for one another. Centered in support of our LGBTQ+ community, this signature event reflects the inclusive spirit of PRIDE and the shared belief that everyone deserves the freedom to love, serve, and belong.

A Front-of-the-Parade Experience!
Through our association with American Legion Post 519, ND Palm Springs is proud to be positioned near the front of the parade lineup, stepping off at 10 a.m. The 0.8-mile route (~17 minutes) makes for an easy, spirited walk — and the best part is, you’ll finish early enough to enjoy the rest of the 2–3 hour parade as a spectator.

Stick around along historic Palm Canyon Drive to cheer on the colorful floats, local groups, and performers — or join your fellow Domers afterward for Fighting Irish camaraderie at American Legion Post 519, just two blocks from the parade’s end.

Invite friends — everyone’s welcome to share in the pride and celebration.

Meet-Up Spot: The American Legion / ND & Friends group is #2 in the parade line-up, so we’ll gather right near the front — at the corner of E. Tachevah Dr. and N. Palm Canyon Dr. (across from Ernest Coffee). Please plan to arrive around 9:15 AM, as things can get a little busy as the parade gets organized. It’s also a great time to connect, take a few photos, and enjoy some pre-parade camaraderie before we step off!

Honor and Celebrate the Bravery, Dedication, and Sacrifice of Our Veterans

Notre Dame alumni and friends in the Greater Palm Springs area are invited to join a series of Veterans Day celebrations honoring our nation’s heroes. With the University’s proud military heritage — including a distinguished ROTC program and countless alumni who have served — there’s no better place to honor and enjoy the day than historic American Legion Post 519.

Participants can enjoy Post 519’s festivities featuring food, music, the parade, and evening fireworks. Notre Dame veterans and family members are also invited to walk or ride in the parade with the American Legion contingent.

The venue is open to Legion members, veterans, active military, and their guests. Please RSVP to Tom Bowsher ’87, AL Post 519 SAL member, to be added to the ND guest list.

As a special bonus, the gathering will also mark the 88th birthday of two-time Bengal Bout champion and game-watch push-up squad legend Frank Nacozy ’59. It’s USC this week, and the Desert Domers are ready. Join the fun Saturday, Oct 18 at 4:30 PM (PT) at Buffalo Wild Wings (Palm Desert)—dedicated Irish viewing area, multiple TVs locked to the game, and full game sound so you won’t miss a snap. Alumni, parents, visitors, or anyone who enjoys Irish football are welcome. And if you’re a Trojans fan who also likes Notre Dame, you’ll fit right in—come enjoy the respectful rivalry.

Game Notes: This is the Jeweled Shillelagh series, first played in 1926, one of college football’s classic coast-to-coast matchups. Notre Dame leads 52–37–5 (through 2024) and has taken the last two, including 49–35 in Los Angeles last year. Kickoff is 12:30 PM PT, and our home base once again becomes the place to be on game day.
