Building Trust Through Conversation at Pace Center for Girls, Palm Beach!

Last week, Pace Center for Girls, Palm Beach, participated in Bridging the G.A.A.P. (Gaining Appreciation by Adjusting Perspectives), an important community discussion bringing together youth and law enforcement to encourage open dialogue, build trust, and strengthen relationships.

👮‍♀️ Representatives from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Riviera Beach Police Department, and the DEA Miami Division joined several Pace girls for a moderated panel discussion focused on understanding one another's perspectives and experiences.

Our girls had the opportunity to speak up, ask questions, and share their thoughts on community safety, reporting crimes, stereotyping, and how young people want to be approached and supported. Law enforcement officials shared their perspectives on bias, behavior during police encounters, the responsibilities of officers, and the importance of building positive relationships with youth.

One of the most memorable moments came at the end of the discussion! Our girls and law enforcement participants switched roles and took part in a mock traffic stop that went just a little awry! 🚔😅 This hands-on role reversal brought a little humor to the experience while giving everyone a chance to step into someone else's shoes and see an everyday interaction from a different perspective.

✨ When we create space for honest conversations, we create opportunities for understanding, trust, and positive change.

A heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Johnny Sanders, DJJ Senior Regional Coordinator; John Edouassaint, Academic Manager and discussion moderator; and Nancy Wilson, Pace's College and Career Coordinator, for helping facilitate this impactful experience. We are also grateful to all the participating law enforcement representatives for sharing their time, experiences, and insights with our girls.

✨ Exploring Futures at Pace Center for Girls, Palm Beach! ✨

On Tuesday, October 13, we were excited to welcome an incredible group of local employers, colleges, and community partners to our Pace College and Career Fair! Our girls had the opportunity to learn about different industries, explore educational pathways, and discover new possibilities for their futures. 💜

🏀 Who says learning can’t get you moving?

Last week, our Pace girls got up, got moving, and had some fun with PaceFit — a newer program created for girls at Pace Palm Beach who were eager to get active! 💪❤️

Coach Sheila had the girls working through basketball drills and exercise stations, challenging them to try different movements, build their skills, and, most importantly, have fun along the way.

But PaceFit is about so much more than exercise.

Coach Sheila has been an integral part of this program from the very beginning. What started as an inquiry about volunteering at Pace has blossomed into a regularly scheduled fitness program — and her passion for our girls has even led her to serve on the Pace Palm Beach, Board of Directors. ❤️

This is the kind of impact a volunteer can have.

One “yes” can turn into a program.
A passion can turn into a purpose.
And showing up can make a lasting difference in a girl’s life.

We are so grateful for Coach Sheila and the many incredible volunteers who have become such an important part of the Pace, Palm Beach family.

❤️ Open Doors, Open Hearts at Pace Palm Beach ❤️

Today, we welcomed community partners and guests interested in learning more about Pace Center for Girls Palm Beach to our Open Doors, Open Hearts Tour!

Guests had the opportunity to learn more about our mission, our trauma-informed programming, and the many ways Pace supports girls as they build confidence, discover their strengths, and work toward their futures.

But the most meaningful part of the morning? Hearing directly from the girls themselves. ❤️

Our guests had the chance to sit with our girls and hear them share about the programs they’ve participated in, the components they enjoy most, and what their Pace experience means to them. There were smiles all around as the girls confidently spoke in front of an audience and proudly helped tour their school.

Watching their confidence grow as they shared their stories was truly special. ✨

We were also incredibly grateful to welcome Ms. Leslie from the Travis Donte Leslie Sr. Foundation. Ms. Leslie generously donated bags and bags of brand-new, unopened gifts for our girls — including fidget toys, perfumes, lashes, makeup, and so much more! 🎁

The girls who helped organize and lead today’s tour had the special opportunity to choose their gifts first, and they are pictured here with Ms. Leslie. ❤️ What a wonderful way to make an already meaningful morning even more special!

🎀 Girls Night In at Pace Palm Beach!

Girls Night In was a HUGE success! 🎉💗

On Tuesday, September 22, we welcomed families and participants, including staff and enrolled students, for an evening filled with laughter, connection, relaxation, and plenty of fun!

From cozy PJs and delicious pizza and snacks to a movie night featuring 'Yes Day' 🍿🎬, it was such a special opportunity for our girls and their families to spend time together and make memories.

A special thank you to our amazing Pace staff who helped make the evening so special! Your support helped create a warm, welcoming, and fun experience for everyone. 💗

🌸 Welcome Back, Pace Girls! 🌸

Today, we welcomed our girls back to Pace Center for Girls Palm Beach with decorated hallways, inspiring doors, and lots of encouragement from our teachers and counselors! 💕📚✨

To celebrate 30 years of believing in girls, each girl received a flower as a reminder that we are blooming futures together. 🌷🌱
Our girls also participated in a fun “Getting to Know You” Scavenger Hunt 🔎💐 to reconnect, meet their teachers and counselors, and ease back into the school year with smiles and excitement!

Here’s to a super scholastic year filled with growth, confidence, achievement, and reaching every goal! 🎓🌟 We can’t wait to see our girls bloom! 🌸💪
