Three years ago today, our world changed.
On October 7, 2023, more than 1,200 lives were taken in the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and hundreds more were taken captive. Today we pause to remember each of them: their names, their stories, and the families and communities who still carry this loss.
Grief and trauma don't follow a calendar. Three years later, many in our community are still feeling the weight of that day, along with the fear and isolation that rising antisemitism has brought.
If you or any member of your family is suffering, please know you are not alone. JFS Desert is offering counseling, and our caring therapists are here to listen and support you. Reach out to us at 760-325-4088 ext.121 or visit jfsdesert.org to connect with a counselor.
Today, let's light a candle, say their names, reach out to someone who might be hurting, and hold one another a little closer.
Am Yisrael Chai. 🕯️💙
