Center Community Food Bank there are a lot of moving parts to get bags of food into the hands of our neighbors that are in need. Traffic control, bags to be loaded, bins to carry those bags by manual conveyor rollers outdoors and volunteers to run those bins back indoors - "rinse and repeat” as the saying goes! All that going on didn’t stop us from laughing, sharing our lives and even comparing what other volunteer opportunities to sign up for!

Today as temperatures climbed into the triple digits, Mei Ling, Corey, Harry and Randy helped The Shared Plate served lunch to those in need in our community. It was fulfilling to work alongside the regular volunteers at United Methodist Church as they hustled to serve an overflow crowd. Thanks to all the volunteers that made this event a success.

Here are three of our Palm Springs volunteers that spent the late morning at Community Food Bank providing grocery bags to residents in need of food assistance. Those smiles and sweat meant they enjoyed laughter and conversations the whole time they were lending a hand. Come join us each Thursday 9:45 am to noon.
