What creates the kind of engagement that keeps people learning, growing and moving forward? 💡🌱

At the 2026 Cultivating Change Summit, Kirby Schmidt (he/him) will present the PowerTalk The Upward Spiral: Cultivating Engagement.

A Minnesota farm kid turned agriculture teacher and Ph.D., Kirby designs dynamic learning and people-development experiences through Lake Wishuknew LLC. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota, an ultra-marathon runner, amateur flower farmer and founder of a local LGBTQ+ outdoor community in the Twin Cities.
