In the grand history of this industry of Gospel Music, California and other Western States have played a significant roll. Many artists, groups, musicians and song writers in this business have originated from this part of the country. In years past, Gospel Music on the West Coast grew to an enormous fan base until one annual event (see, Western Desert Gospel Sing) reportedly attracted over 22 THO
USAND people. Church based concerts would literally fill to overflowing and many would have to be turned away at the door. However, many of these groups, solo artists and bands are still making music. Many of the fans are still out there searching for a place to hear this powerful presentation of the Gospel in song. West Coast Gospel music is exciting, fun and attracts people of all ages. A true family event with something for everyone. Our music isn’t one style of music but rather many styles of music with a single message, Jesus Christ. Gospel Reunion is not about remembering the past in an attempt to relive it, but rather a dedication to reuniting the West Coast Gospel Music fan with the kind of music they truly love. Gospel Reunion aspires to be the catalyst by which these artists can come together in a West Coast tradition of many styles of Gospel Music, under one roof, declaring “Jesus Is Lord.”
