Congratulations to Chandra Fredrick, Board Chair of Empath Hospice, for being honored with the 2026 “She Knows Where She’s Going Award” from Girls Inc. of Lakeland.

Chandra was recognized for leading with purpose, inspiring others, and creating a lasting impact in her community. Her compassion and commitment to service make her incredibly deserving of this award, and we’re so glad she’s part of the work we’re doing at Empath Hospice in Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties.

The Auer Szabo Empath Adult Day Center was created to meet the psychosocial and recreational needs of military veterans and adults, while offering respite for their caregivers.

Simple activities like these create socialization and a sense of purpose for participants.

We're opening a new Care Center in Winter Haven, and we'd love for you to come see it.

Sometimes hospice patients need more care than can be provided at home. Care centers are there for those moments, offering 24-hour comfort care for patients and families.

Please join us this Thursday, May 14 from 4:30 PM-6:00 PM at 2701 Lake Alfred Rd., Winter Haven, FL (located at Vivo Winter Haven) to tour our new 8-bed Care Center and meet our care team.
