That's a wrap. ππ½ Today marked the official last day of our mission β back to the hospital one final time for rounds, checking in on our patients, and packing up all our equipment to ship back to the US.
But before we go, we want to shine a light on the people who rarely get the spotlight but make every single surgery possible:
π©Ή Our PT team β the ones who turn a successful surgery into a successful recovery, walking patients through pain and progress every step of the way.
π§Ό Our sterile processing team β the hands that clean, sterilize, and prep every single instrument we use. No OR runs without them. No surgery happens without them.
π Our donors β the ones who make this mission possible before we even step off the plane. Every instrument, every supply, every flight β funded by people who believe in this cause. You may never see a single surgery, but you're in every single one.
π₯ Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro β a heartfelt thank you for opening your doors to us and partnering with us every step of the way. This mission simply doesn't happen without your hospital, your staff, and your incredible generosity.
80 surgeries. Countless lives touched. And none of it possible without every person behind the scenes.
Thank you to this entire team β the surgeons, the PTs, the instrument processors, the coordinators, the donors, and the entire Obras Sociales del Santo Hermano Pedro family. This mission was never about one person. It was about all of us. ππ½
