Saturday was prep day. We crushed our goals to get everything ready for the upcoming cargo packing weekend. 90 patient charts, admission & discharge bags, as well as the welcome bags for our 73 volunteers. Numerous tasks that make a huge impact on the success of the trip. A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in to make this day such a success.

Jill, one of our incredible physical therapist, is such a vital part of our mission trips success. Her dedication and expertise equips patients with the tools and confidence they need to continue rehabbing on their own long after Operation Walk Florida has headed back to the states. Jill is truly the key to the patients success after discharge.

Thank you to everyone who has bought off our Amazon wish list so far! If possible we would love to have everything purchased ASAP so we can pack it up and ship it with our cargo that heads to Guatemala in early June.

It takes a TON of equipment and supplies to do a successful trip so we send everything 2 1/2 months in advance for customs. We are so blessed to have such great volunteers packing everything and working on logistics to make this possible. Every item is greatly appreciated. Operation Walk Florida is deeply appreciative of Carolina joining our team last year. She excelled at making patients feel comfortable and welcome in the pre and postoperative areas as well as serving as a vital liaison through her translation support. We cannot wait to see you shine again this year.

Jessica is at the heart of our mission, securing vital donated supplies, leading our nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and even mastering Spanish to better serve others. Today, she is running her 10th Marathon, a true reflection of her strength and dedication. We are grateful to have such a valuable member of the Operation Walk Florida Team.

Jessica is pictured on the cover with Clara: a local street vendor she has come to know and love. It’s always a beautiful reunion each August.

Arts work begins long before the actual trip and never truly ends. From organizing supplies and managing cargo to ensure everything is available throughout the journey as well as returning what is needed afterwards. Arts dedication is truly the backbone of the mission. His journey with Operation Walk Floridas is truly a family affair. He has worked behind the scenes since 2022 (joined in Guatemala in 2024) helping his wife Susie who serves as Team Leader as well as their son Tyler who joined the mission as a volunteer last year.

Brian’s efficiency in getting instruments cleaned and sterilized plays a key role in maintaining smooth case flow, allowing us to complete more knee replacements and restore mobility for more patients during our trip. Than you Brian for volunteering and sharing your expertise with OP Walk Florida and the people of Antigua, Guatemala.
