As I get older, these get harder to process and report; but, it's not about me, it's about honoring those we've loved, respected, and been entertained by.

CPP and the Date Festival have lost two family members that deserve greatly to be recognized.

Ed Harbur left us suddenly last October (14th). If you knew Ed, you know there is not enough space anywhere to describe the impact he left behind. For CPP, he was one of the original Touring Show regular cast members from CPP's inception. He also directed McCallum shows that included Aladdin and Jungle Book. For the Date Festival, he gave one of his last performances with us as Jafar in our Aladdin Nightly Musical Pageant in 2023. If you followed him on FaceBook, you surely miss his regular tributes to the heavenly birthdays of stars gone by and, of course, his endless snippets, tidbits, and info bits from everything Hanna Barbara, Peanuts, Flintstones and so much more. The only piece of light in his passing is that he got to rejoin his beloved Sky.

Jim Davison's final curtain came December 9th. A MEMORIAL FOR HIM is tomorrow at St Francis in La Quinta (see attached). Another legend with more to talk about that space to write, Jim is known to many for his 30 year teaching and coaching career in the valley. As a member of our family, Jim is known as a mainstay with the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival (also for decades) as a performer and a Salute to America singer. It wasn't a Pageant until Jim came out to sing the National Anthem and, then, with his wife Barbara, support the Navy in our Service Corp Medley.

We will miss them both and thank them for all the joy and entertainment they left in our memories!
