Field Maintenance Day - Spring ‘26

Some of your very own Coaches got out and prepped ALL of our fields for this coming season. Be sure to thank them, but also to be mindful of what we do with our trash during Practices & Games.

We can’t wait to see you all create memories at our beautiful fields this season!

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting one of the Living Legends of Baseball, at a stop along his Sandlot Tour.

An evening of absolute fun, laughter, stories, and Baseball!
Over 3 hours of memorable activities with new friends from across and outside of our awesome league!

We can’t wait to plan future events to continue providing awesome learning experiences for the kids and coaches of our communities.

Huge Thank You to Coach Croatia as well, the kids will be singing that song at practice you can guarantee it!

We want to give a HUGE, Thank You!
To the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, who donated 50 Brand New Baseball/Softball Rolling Gear Bags.
All of us at PDYSA are incredibly grateful, and so thankful for keeping our communities safe.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND EVALUATIONS?
-Baseball: Any player playing in Mustang (9 & 10) and older
-Softball: Any player playing in Mustang (9 & 10) and older
-All players in these divisions must attend our evaluation date.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
-Come prepared and dressed ready to play ball in athletic attire.
-We suggest cleats or atheltic shoes
-Glove (mitt)
-Bat (bats will be avaialable for use during evaluations if needed)
-Water

IF MY PLAYER PLAYED LAST YEAR, DO THEY STILL NEED TO ATTEND EVALUATIONS?
-Yes. Player skills develop and change every season, Evaluations help ensure we are using the most current skill level for fair team placement

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF EVALUATION?
Player evaluations are part of our team placement system.
-We do not hold a draft selection process
-Players are evaluated and assigneda numerical value
-Those values are entered into a computerized draft system
-Teams are then formed and balanced based off of those numbers

WHO DOES THE EVALUATING?
-Evaluations are conducted by experienced, non-biased members within our community, local high schools, and past players and coaches.

-They will focus on mechanics over results
**example: they want to see how a player approaches the ball to field it, not whether they make a clean play every time.
-Please reassure players that mistakes are okay, and evaluators want to see their effort and fundamentals.

WHAT IF YOU CANT ATTEND THE EVALUATION?
-Please make every effort to attend this date, if there are extenuating circumstances please email the league
-IF there is a pontential for a make-up evaluation date notice will be given via email or social media platforms.

We kicked off the Pre-Season activities with our Manager’s Meeting last night, though we missed a few of you, the numbers are always bigger and better. We appreciate each and every one of our Volunteers, eager to be surrounded by laughter and cheer through another PDYSA Spring Season!!!

We are pleased to announce, we will be hosting Sandlot Tour for a Pre-Season Character Building & Skills Clinic!

Join us Feb 13th for a fun-filled evening that your Ball Player won’t forget! And we didn’t forget about you parents, following the kids event will be 30 min Parent and Coaches Clinic to help get you geared up for the season as well.

Spots will be limited so register early and secure a spot before they fill up!

*We are still seeking Volunteer Coaches to help with the event, so any current PDYSA coaches interested please contact us via DM*
