The Bianca Rae Foundation

The Bianca Rae Foundation Bianca Rae created the Bianca Rae Foundation so she can be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves: children and animals. Tax Exempt: 46-4309544

Shortly after moving to the Coachella Valley, Bianca Rae met Jack - a homeless spaniel mix puppy at the animal shelter she volunteered at. Hooked and in love from day one, Bianca went on to rescue Jack. She then dove into the world of animal welfare, vowing to try and save "his brothers, sisters, and friends." In the two and a half years Bianca has lived in the desert, she has been intimately invo

lved in animal welfare: founding the “Faith, Hope & Pups” polo event fundraiser to help shelter animals; funding an East Valley spay/neuter/zeuter clinic; hosting the “It’s a Jungle Out There” adoption event; spearheading to save the 200 animals from the Animal Care Center of Indio before it shut down. The last year has seen Bianca Rae fight for the animals in the area. She worked closely with local non-profits, blessed to learn from some of the best animal advocates. Bianca's creation of the The Bianca Rae Foundation was a natural progression of her commitment to helping create a no-kill community. While her focus has been on animals, her other passion is helping children. Reporting the news throughout the Valley has put Bianca in touch with so many children in need. The Bianca Rae Foundation started the Rae Of Hope Leadership Retreat for Coachella Valley middle school girls. Bianca works in tandem with existing organizations working on child health, education, safety and other child focus areas. The Bianca Rae Foundation serves as a 'Rae of Hope.'

The Bianca Rae Foundation is proud to have created another Broadcast Center in one of the Coachella Valley's schools, this time Paige Middle School!

When young people are given a microphone, a camera, and the tools to tell their own stories, they gain more than technical skills - they gain confidence, curiosity, and a voice. Journalism and media teach critical thinking, communication, empathy, and the power of asking questions. These are skills that last a lifetime, no matter what career path they choose.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers who showed up, poured into these students, and helped make this possible. We couldn’t do this work without you. This is how we invest in the next generation: by believing in them and giving them the tools to be heard.

Thank you to:
-Joel Aponte who donated his broadcast wisdom and hours upon hours of his time to create yet another professional grade studio for desert students
-John Grimmett for your dedication to your students to teach them this craft, Nicole Aguirre for supporting these visions, and DSUSD ELOP for believing in the importance of broadcast journalism

Collectively, one of our favorite nights of the year at the Bianca Rae Foundation is Rae of Holiday - our annual tradition where we take families in need holiday shopping. ✨

Each year, we proudly partner with FIND Food Bank and the Desi Strong Foundation to identify families facing the most urgent challenges during the holiday season. While Christmas isn’t just about the presents, we believe it is about joy, dignity, and keeping the magic and innocence of childhood alive for as long as possible. ❤️ Seeing these kids pick out gifts with wide eyes and even wider smiles reminds us why we do this work. For a few precious hours, their worries fade, and pure holiday magic takes over.

Thank you to our partners, volunteers, and supporters who make programs like this possible: Walmart Palm Desert for their generous discount, Home Depot Rancho Mirage for donating Christmas trees to each family, Maracas Rancho Mirage for generously welcoming us for an incredible meal, and our volunteer Rosie Doane for coordinating and executing this event every year!

When our community comes together, we can make the season a little brighter for families who need it most. 🎄✨
