Our Rotary Club celebrated its first Demotion Party/Rotate the Wheel celebration at my home with much help from my partner Cynthia Adams, where the new president Tim Morgan was sworn in with his new board and I become the immediate past president.

We were honored to have current Rotary International board member Vicki Pulitz, her husband (and fellow pilot Tim), and past RI director Johrita Solari and her husband Bruce.

Our members Mark and Maria Meyer provided all the great food and donated the proceeds to the club so we can help the community.

I presented the Rotarian of the Year award to Karen Kelley which was much deserved. Individual awards were given to people serving on my board and those instrumental in helping me get our new club started in the last 15 months.

Great weekly meeting today with our speaker The Honorable Mayor of La Quinta Linda Evans. Linda’s command of the facts both locally and regionally and her passion for making La Quinta a great place to live and work are truly impressive!

We had our largest crowd yet 29 people. If you are interested in learning more, come by and have lunch with us.
