The Freddy Gleissner Jr.- Vinnie Gough Sr. Memorial Scholarship Foundation The FGVG Foundation offers financial assistance to individuals pursuing a career as a Fire Fighter in Florida.

Fire Science Scholarships are awarded through an application to Freddy Gleissner Jr. – Vinnie Gough Sr. (FGVG) and require approval of the Scholarship Committee. Scholarships will be limited to funds available for this purpose. The scholarship will be issued for a Fire Science program offered through accredited Florida schools and the award may only be used for that program. Scholarships are not t

ransferable to another program or school. The scholarships are awarded for twelve (12) months and cover registration and tuition, and may include books, supplies, and uniforms if funds are available. Applications for the current school year must be submitted to the Scholarship Committee no later than April 1, of that year. Scholarship recipients will be notified of the scholarship awards within three to five weeks. The Scholarship award is contingent on the successful attainment of all requirements for admittance into the program and will not be carried year-to-year if awardee is not attending program on a regular basis. Scholarship applicants must meet all requirements for the program they plan to attend.
