Flagler County High School Scholarships Awarded By Friends of the Library, Flagler.

Last week, we were honored to award two $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from Flagler/Palm Coast and Matanzas high schools. The scholarships, funded by specific donations, were dedicated to the late Peggy Mattingly, former vice president and tireless volunteer of FOL Flagler.

One scholarship went to Sayed Haider (FPC), who will study biomedical engineering at Cornell, and the other to Sthefany Cruz Torres (MHS), who will study criminal justice at the University of South Florida on her way to an eventual law degree.

Both students were very deserving and appreciative of their scholarship, and their mothers were proud and ecstatic.

Flagler Public Library Activities for February are Exciting and Fun

Information and daily schedules for February programs at the Palm Coast and Bunnell @ Nexus Center libraries are available on the Flagler County Public Libraries website at flaglerlibrary.org. Go there to learn about all of these wonderful programs, from yoga to trivia to children's reading classes to cooking classes. There are activities for all ages - children, teens, adults, and seniors. All are FREE!!

Book & Bake Sale at the Palm Coast Public Flagler County Public Library... 😄

The Friends of the Library, Flagler, will host a book and bake sale on Saturday, February 7th, from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway NW, Palm Coast.

There will be Fiction, Non-Fiction, Specialty Books, Children’s Books and much more. And don't forget the delicious homemade bakery goods!

Credit cards are accepted, as are checks, with a valid driver’s license.

See you all there this coming Saturday. We promise good reading, good cookies, cakes, and brownies, and good weather.
