First nest of the year! This is the earliest recorded Loggerhead nest on our beach. The previous record was April 30 during the 2021 nesting season. ๐Ÿข

We believe this is also the first nest in St. Johns County this year. Let the fun begin! ๐Ÿฅณ

Join a Ranger on the first Friday of every month for a guided stroll through the formal gardens. Learn about the history of Washington Oaks while enjoying the beauty all around you.

Earth Day 2026 at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park was a huge success ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make it possible โ€” our amazing volunteers, dedicated park staff, and all who came out to support and celebrate. From the plant sales to the open gift shop, it was a beautiful day filled with families enjoying the park, connecting with nature, and sharing smiles.

So many happy faces, so much positive energyโ€ฆ this is what itโ€™s all about ๐ŸŒŽโœจ
