August 2026 Every August, Child Vision Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of healthy eyes for our children.
It highlights the importance of regular eye exams and early detection of vision problems. Our children’s bright future depends on clear eyesight, and this month is dedicated to making sure that all kids can see their best.
Children’s vision issues often go unnoticed, making early screenings crucial. Catching problems early can prevent serious issues from impacting learning and development.
The Palm Coast Lions Club offers FREE Early Childhood Vision screenings at daycare centers, nursery schools, kindergartens, and health fairs. The service is offered by our Lions KidSight USA volunteers. We can digitally screen children from age 5 months up, using our Spot screening devices.
