Memorial Concert on Sep 13, 2025: featuring Doc Handy at the DSC Amphitheater, Palm Coast

The North East Florida Jazz Association (NEFJA) will present its annual Jeep McCoy Memorial Concert featuring percussionist Terry (Doc) Handy with his Cymonian Jazz Ensemble in concert from 4 – 7 PM on Saturday, September 13 at the newly remodeled Daytona State College Amphitheatre in Palm Coast.

Based out of Jacksonville, Handy’s uniqueness as a conga drum musician is his captivating ability to fuse Afro-Cuban percussion with Jazz to create an infectious swing that leaves his audiences in a spell bound groove. He has played at venues throughout the US and in Europe, Korea and Panama. Performing with Handy will be pianist Andrew Carroll, Tyler Snell on saxophone, trumpet player Dave Champagne, Justin Archinihu on Upright Bass, Drummer John Lumpkin, and Vocalist Michelle Manzo.
