🚂 ALL ABOARD THE ADVENTURE! 🚂

🌧️🥶 Cold temperatures, rainy skies, wet socks, and a whole lot of Scout spirit! Nothing like a chilly, soggy weekend to make some unforgettable memories!

Our Scouts are in Spencer, North Carolina, at the North Carolina Transportation Museum, working on their Railroading Merit Badge! 🚉

From exploring historic locomotives and learning about railroad history to getting hands-on with model trains, our Scouts have been having a blast! 🚂🛤️

The weather may not have been on our side, but a little rain and cold never stopped a Scout from having an adventure! 💚💜

A huge thank-you to the volunteers, instructors, and leaders who helped make this experience possible!

Rain or shine, the adventure stays on track! 🚦

This was such a great event!

Eighty-nine scouts earned their Nuclear Science Merit Badge during an educational event at Patrick Space Force Base.

Tonight, friends and families gathered to celebrate achievement, recognize service, welcome new members of our Scouting family, and honor the journey each Scout is taking.
There can never be enough thanks for everyone who supports this Troop, but rest assured, they are many and the Scouts are thriving!

⚜️💙 BEYOND THE CAMPFIRE — SCOUTING BUILDS SKILLS FOR LIFE! 🏕️📱

Last night our Scouts traded campfires and hiking trails for a different kind of adventure — learning how to stay safe in today’s digital world!

A HUGE thank you to Public Safety Officer Rommel Scalf with the Bunnell Police Department for spending time with our girls and talking about some very real issues facing youth today. 👏🚔

Officer Scalf introduced the “Be Social and Stay Safe” brochures and talked with our Scouts about:
📱 Smart & safe social media habits
🤳 The dangers of deepfakes and inappropriate online content
🚨 How to REPORT harmful content and what can be done to help get it removed
🗣️ What to do when you see something that doesn’t seem right
🚭 The dangers of drugs, alcohol & to***co
💪 Making choices that protect your health and future

Sure, our Scouts LOVE camping, hiking, campfires, merit badges, and getting outdoors… 🏕️🥾🔥 But Scouting is also about preparing young people for REAL LIFE.

Learning how to navigate social media safely, recognize potential dangers, make healthy choices, and know when and how to ask for help are skills our Scouts can carry with them long after the tents are packed away. 💚

Thank you, Officer Scalf and the Bunnell Police Department, for helping us add another set of tools to our Scouts’ “Be Prepared” toolbox! 🧰⚜️

Because sometimes being Prepared for Life means knowing how to pitch a tent… and sometimes it means knowing when to hit BLOCK & REPORT! 😉📱🚨

Yesterday, our Troop attended a fantastic day-long event organized by Timuqua District Central Florida Council BSA, as part of the Liberty in Action: 250th Anniversary Challenge! We explored America's founding principles and connected Scouting's civic service tradition to our national story at the beautiful Barberville Pioneer Settlement. We even got to experience what life was like 250 years ago with tours and hands-on demonstrations. A huge thank you to the organizers and staff for a great day! If you're ever nearby, definitely check out the Settlement! 🇺🇸
