TODAY IS THE DAY TO MAKE WAVES!! 🌊📚💙

Our founder Gabrielle Raymond McGee's latest children's book Ocean Superheroes is officially out in the world, and our hearts are SO full.

This book began with a simple belief: when kids connect with the natural world, they begin to see themselves as capable of making a difference. Our hope is that these pages spark curiosity, inspire adventure, and help raise the next generation of wavemakers, explorers, innovators, and changemakers.

Over the past few months, we've had the opportunity to share Ocean Superheroes with children in classrooms and at events, and we've already seen the magic happen—the excitement in their eyes, the questions they ask, and the connections they make to the ocean and the incredible species that call it home.

We're inviting our community to help bring Ocean Superheroes to Title I schools and underserved classrooms across Florida.

Through this initiative, donated books will be distributed to students who may not otherwise have access to ocean science and conservation resources.

Every donated copy helps spark curiosity, encourage STEM learning, and inspire the next generation of ocean advocates.

🌊 Every great wave starts with a ripple.

We're proud to announce that Sylvania Heights Elementary School in Miami has been awarded a $5,000 Future Waves Education Grant.

This grant is about more than funding.

It's about giving students the opportunity to step outside, explore nature, ask big questions, discover new passions, and see the world through the eyes of an explorer.

It's about helping children trade a little more screen time for wonder, curiosity, and real-world experiences that can shape the course of their lives.

The future scientist. The future entrepreneur. The future conservationist. The future explorer.

Those journeys often begin with a single field trip, a walk through nature, a teacher who believes in them, or an experience that opens their eyes to what's possible.

We are honored to invest in the students and educators of Sylvania Heights and can't wait to see the waves they create.

What an incredible way to celebrate World Oceans Day! 🌊💙

This past weekend, Future Waves founder and author Gabrielle Raymond McGee joined the celebration at Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science, sharing a special reading of her upcoming children's book Ocean Superheroes with families from across South Florida.

From coral reef restoration activities and ocean chemistry experiments to marine science demonstrations and conservation exhibits, the museum was buzzing with opportunities for kids to learn, explore, and connect with the ocean in new ways.

One of our favorite moments? Watching young readers discover the real-life ocean organisms behind the pages of Ocean Superheroes and seeing their excitement for the underwater world come to life.

Thank you to Frost Science, all of the incredible partners who made this day possible, and to everyone who joined us!
