Construction Angels Financial assistance is for surviving children (19 years and younger) and/or a surviving spouse. Construction Angels thanks you for your consideration.

Construction Angels provides immediate financial assistance and grief counseling to the families of fallen construction workers and scholarship opportunities to qualifying applicants (children who have lost a parent or seeking education in construction). Construction Angels’ main objective is to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of “one of our own” within the construction industry and provide grief counseling during their time of need. In addition, the organization helps to promote safety and training information along with information and awareness about construction fatalities in the United States. There are approximately 4.5 construction fatalities a day in the United States, which is nearly 20% of the working Americans. Among these statistics, there are many times the head of the household suffers a loss of life while working on a job site and there are little or no funds available to the family. Construction Angels' main objective is to help families pick up the pieces, one family at a time. Construction Angels is raising funds for the Alaskan Plane Crash! This NATIONAL OUTREACH is a FUNDRAISER for the families of the 8 killed in a twin-engine Cessna 441 Conquest charter plane traveling to perform routine maintenance and inspect a new fire suppression system at a remote radar site near Cape Newenham, Alaska.

Eight people were killed, including two pilots and six passengers. Those identified include U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employees Sabrina Hansen, a fire protection engineer, and Hayden Scalis, a mechanical engineer, as well as U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Leah Borsich, a project programmer. This happened at Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site Airport in Southwest Alaska, approximately 460 miles southwest of Anchorage, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at approximately 11:45 a.m.

A Security Aviation twin-engine Cessna 441 Conquest charter plane crashed while attempting to land at the remote radar site in foggy, low-visibility conditions. All eight people aboard were killed.

The aircraft was transporting personnel from Anchorage to the radar site. Hansen and Scalis were traveling there to perform routine maintenance and inspect a new fire suppression system.
