The Florida District of CKI had an AMAZING time at the 2025 Florida Kiwanis DCON last month! We hosted a CKI Workshop, volunteered in a service project making meal kits for communities in need, and assisted in a variety of events throughout the weekend!

Additionally CKI Governor Emily presented to Florida Kiwanis, sharing her plan for the year and how we can all advocate for CKI.

Thank you to Florida Kiwanis, the Florida Kiwanis Foundation, and the CKI Alumni Association for making this experience phenomenal! We offer congratulations to Kiwanis Governor Jeremy on a successful year and we look forward to working with the new board!

Project Spotlight: FGCU CKI’s Paw-some T-Shirt Dog Toy Project! 🐶👕

Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) CKI (.cki) made a difference with their t-shirt dog toy project! After receiving t-shirt donations from their sponsoring Kiwanis club, the club split the project into multiple parts. On January 29th, members cut the shirts into strips, and on February 5th, they braided them into durable dog toys. The grand finale came on February 14th, when members delivered the toys to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. The staff expressed heartfelt gratitude, and the director even invited the club back for future volunteer opportunities! Members had a blast meeting the shelter animals, and this heartwarming project is just one example of the club’s ongoing dedication to making a positive impact. 🌟

✨ Reminiscing FL CKI District Convention 2025 🧚

From February 21-23, 2025, the Florida District of Circle K International gathered in Altamonte Springs for our 66th Annual District Convention (DCON), “Service, Leadership, and a Little Bit of Pixie Dust”—the grand celebration of our service year! At DCON, we elected our 2025-2026 District Board, listened to leaders, engaged in the House of Delegates, learned from workshops, participated in meaningful a service project, and honored the incredible accomplishments of our leaders from the 2024-2025 service year. Attendees engaged in dynamic workshops, clubs were recognized for their outstanding achievements, and friendships were strengthened through fellowship activities.

Special thanks to Conventions Chair Luna and Assistant Administrator Lindsey for spearheading the planning of an unforgettable convention. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Florida CKI Alumni Association for hosting a fantastic lunch and for their unwavering support, and to everyone in our Florida Kiwanis Family for their continued encouragement, leading insightful workshops, and speaking throughout the weekend.

At the 2025 District Convention (DCON), the Florida District of Circle K International hosted a unique literacy-focused service project related to the 2024-2025 Governor’s Project ‘Once Upon a Time’! This project combined multiple different service activities aimed at building and creating literacy tools for young children, which were made possible by the Tomorrow Fund, a grant from Circle K International, and the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, which helps clubs make a difference through service. 🌍📚

Clubs can apply for grants between $200 and $2,000 TWICE a year to support impactful service projects on campus and in their communities! The next grant application period is from April 1 to June 1—don’t miss out! 💡
