🎄Happy Holidays! 🎄

Santa stopped by the Lake Park Library last weekend to wish students a Merry Christmas and to hand out gifts from the Angel Tree! 🎁

We started the morning with a holiday themed storytime, followed by lunch and a Christmas movie, and finally a visit from Santa! It was a wonderful day for all!🎅🏻

Thank you to Care Crew volunteers Kristen, Kamran, Sam, Leo, Holden, Ilia, Bella, Sophie, Darrow, and Emilia for being Santa’s Helpers! They did everything from prepping crafts for storytime, to serving lunch to students, to wrapping and handing out gifts! 💜

❤️💚 Lending a hand for the Holidays!❤️💚

Last week a few of our volunteers (including Care Crew alumni home from college ) helped to spread the holiday spirit to guests of South Florida Soup Kitchen & Assistance Foundation, Inc. We assembled and filled backpacks/totes with hygiene kits and with items needed for colder weather this winter. 🎒

Thank you SFSK for this opportunity to serve the community and for all that you do to feed those in need!🌟

Holiday magic at Homework Club!
From delicious sandwiches, hot chocolate, gingerbread house creating, and goodie bags, our crew brought the cheer. Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers who made it all possible — and a special shoutout to our college alum who came back to help out (Care Crew for Life!). Care Crew Homework Club Holiday Party! 🎄

We were feeling festive today as we celebrated the holidays together in Homework Club! We had hot chocolate and sandwiches, and then had fun making and decorating “gingerbread houses”! All our students even went home with a bag of treats! 🎁

Thank you to our Care Crew volunteers Branden, Chloe, Bella, Sam, Ella, and Georgia for making our holiday party so special! And a shout out to Branden for supplying the gingerbread house materials and Chloe for making the treat bags! 🌟

Congrats to our Homework Club students that received awards for their photography in the “This Is Where I Live” photography contest sponsored by The Artists of Palm Beach County! There were many wonderful photos showcasing artistic skills as well as the Town of Lake Park! 📸💜

If you able to give back this holiday season, our Homework Club and Enrichment Club students have listed their holiday wishes on an angel in the Lake Park Library. Each child had requested items such as clothes, small toys, or books. It is a wonderful opportunity to make the holidays special for a child in our community. Santa will be delivering the gifts on Saturday December 20th, so items are needed by the 16th!

ANGELS AMONG US

The Town of Lake Park is excited to have its first “Angel Tree” this year! The tree is currently on display in the Lake Park Public Library, filled with cardboard “angels” containing lists of gifts requested by local children who are members of low-income families. Behind every “angel” is a child who is hoping for a little holiday magic, a moment of joy, a feeling of being seen, and the comfort of knowing their Town cares. Your kindness can help give them a holiday memory they’ll never forget. We encourage you to stop by the library and select an angel (or two!) to help make a child’s life a little brighter this holiday season. This is also a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved in the community and support our youngest residents. Angel gifts must be dropped off no later than Tuesday, December 16.

Storytime and Enrichment is all about reading books, making music, and creating crafts together! Thank you to volunteers Kristin, Kiki, Liza, Kamran, and Sam for fostering a love of reading and learning with our young students. Together our volunteers and students have read over 100 books this fall! 📚

And a warm welcome to our newest volunteer, Carter! He jumped right in this weekend connecting with students and reading to them! 💜
