WaterSmart Palm Beach County The Drowning Prevention Task Force Palm Beach County is a multi-agency purposeful driven group focused on eliminating drowning in Palm Beach County.

Starting in 2013 under the direction of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County, as a small group of concerned aquatics professionals the group has now grown to over 20 agencies with a focus on ending water related catastrophes. In 2014 the group adopted the title WaterSmart Palm Beach County and began to partner with lead media agencies – CBS12 and Palm Beach Broadcasting – to begin to market water

safety and change the county into a water safe culture and environment. Through these efforts WaterSmart is seen as the lead on various projects through out the county which will lead to nation-wide impact.
