Class was in session. Geography, history, music...fun!! This is real learning!!! What a fun class! Mali, Senegal, and Guinea! Ms. Dallas and Mr. Craig gave an overview of customs and culture from West Africa. Thank you to all the parents for allowing the children to share in this experience of cultural arts. And a huge thank you to Devon for organizing and rallying the troops. We are looking forward to the next class!

The Juneteenth celebration was a spectacular extravaganza consisting of nuggets of wisdom on the history/founding of Melbourne, black-owned vendors, jazz musicians, spoken word artists, and Afrikaan cultural ambassadors. It was a great time of networking that reflects the beauty, resilience, and solidarity of the Black community.
