[Give Chances DDartists | 2026 Art in the Park]

A Beautiful Fall Day, A Proud Moment for Our DDartists!

What an unforgettable day at the 62nd Annual Bergen County Art in the Park Show, presented by Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III, the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, and the Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs!

Under the beautiful autumn sunshine, our DDartists—artists with developmental disabilities—proudly showcased their original artwork and sold merchandise featuring their unique designs.

It was truly heartwarming to see community members amazed by their creativity and enthusiastically supporting their talents!

One of the proudest moments was receiving official Certificates of Commendation from Bergen County, recognizing our artists’ participation and contributions to the community.

Connecting with county leaders, fellow artists, and community members made the day even more special.

Art has no boundaries, and every artist deserves to shine!

Thank you to Bergen County and everyone who made this beautiful day unforgettable!!

아름다운 가을날, 예술로 빛난 우리 DDartists!

10월 10일, 화창한 가을 하늘 아래 Give Chances의 DDartists(발달장애 예술가들)가 버겐카운티 행정관 James J. Tedesco III, 카운티 커미셔너 위원회 및 문화역사국이 주최한 제62회 Art in the Park에 참여했습니다!

우리 아티스트들은 직접 창작한 작품을 전시하고, 작품을 활용해 제작한 다양한 상품을 판매하며 지역사회와 소통하는 특별한 시간을 보냈습니다.

특히 작품을 보고 놀라움과 감탄을 표현하며 따뜻하게 응원해 주신 지역 주민들 덕분에 우리 아티스트들의 얼굴에는 행복한 미소가 가득했습니다!

무엇보다 버겐카운티로부터 공식 표창장(Certificate of Commendation)을 수여받는 영광도 누렸습니다!

카운티 관계자들과 지역 예술가, 주민들을 만나 우리 친구들의 재능을 알릴 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊었습니다.

예술에는 경계가 없으며, 모든 예술가는 빛날 자격이 있습니다!

우리 DDartists가 정말 자랑스럽습니다. 아름다운 가을날, 잊지 못할 행복한 하루였습니다!

New York FunGrow Saturday School is a special Saturday program presented by Give Chances in partnership with Mosaic of Hope and Cham Church. It gives children a joyful place to release the stress of a busy school week while building healthy minds and bodies.
The gym echoes with energetic shouts, focused movements, and children cheering one another on through every challenge! Through Taekwondo, students develop more than physical skills—they build focus, confidence, respect, perseverance, and healthy strength.
With play, learning, friendship, teamwork, and a variety of enriching activities, FunGrow helps children grow happier, stronger, and more confident each week.
This Saturday, let’s move, learn, and grow together!

뉴욕, 주말이 기다려지는 이유! FunGrow 토요 놀이학교
Give Chances가 모자이크 호프 및 참교회와 함께하는 뉴욕 FunGrow 토요 놀이학교는 아이들이 한 주 동안 쌓인 스트레스를 건강하게 풀고, 몸과 마음을 함께 키워가는 특별한 토요일 프로그램입니다.
체육관을 가득 울리는 힘찬 기합 소리, 절도 있는 동작, 서로를 응원하며 끝까지 도전하는 아이들의 모습! 태권도를 통해 아이들은 단순히 운동 기술을 배우는 것을 넘어 집중력, 자신감, 예절, 인내심, 그리고 건강한 체력을 키워갑니다.
놀이와 배움, 친구들과의 협력, 다양한 활동이 어우러진 FunGrow에서 아이들은 매주 한 뼘 더 즐겁고 단단하게 성장합니다.

Our Sunday Art Class students explored their creativity through a colorful and imaginative mixed-media art project!

Using vibrant paints, colorful beads, and fuzzy pipe cleaners, the children transformed simple shapes into playful characters filled with personality. From expressive faces to unique hairstyles and decorative details, each student experimented with different colors, textures, and materials to bring their own ideas to life.

At Give Chances, we believe that art is a wonderful way for children to express themselves, build confidence, and discover the joy of creating something truly their own. Every artwork tells a different story, and we love seeing how each child's imagination turns ordinary materials into extraordinary creations!

Give Chances의 Sunday Art Class 아이들이 다채로운 재료를 활용해 자신만의 개성과 상상력이 담긴 특별한 작품을 완성했습니다!

알록달록한 물감과 비즈, 모루 등 다양한 재료를 이용해 표정부터 머리 모양, 장식 하나하나까지 직접 디자인하며 개성 넘치는 캐릭터를 만들어 보았습니다. 같은 재료로 시작했지만 색을 선택하고 조합하는 방식에 따라 아이들만의 독특하고 재미있는 작품들이 탄생했습니다.

Our DDartists, young artists with developmental disabilities, have been exploring new ways to express their creativity through two exciting art projects!

Building on last week's exploration of tree textures, our artists brought their nature-inspired artwork to life by adding animals of their own choice. By combining the detailed textures of trees with their favorite animals, each artist created a unique scene filled with imagination and personal expression.

In another creative activity, our DDartists explored symmetrical design using letters. By transforming familiar letter shapes into balanced patterns and artistic compositions, they discovered how simple forms can become beautiful and unexpected designs.

Although these projects use different techniques, both encourage our artists to observe, experiment, and discover their own artistic styles. At Give Chances, we celebrate every creative choice and look forward to seeing how our DDartists continue to develop their talents and share their unique perspectives through art!

우리 Give Chances의 DDartists 발달장애 청년들이 다양한 미술 활동을 통해 자신만의 창의성과 개성을 표현하는 시간을 가졌습니다!

나무의 질감 표현 활동에 자신만의 상상의 동물을 더해 하나의 작품으로 완성해 보았습니다. 나무의 거친 표면과 자연의 모습을 섬세하게 표현하고, 그 안에 자신이 선택한 동물을 그려 넣으며 각자의 상상력이 담긴 특별한 풍경을 만들어 냈습니다.

또 다른 활동에서는 알파벳을 활용한 대칭 디자인(Symmetrical Design)에 도전했습니다. 익숙한 글자의 형태를 새롭게 바라보고, 반복과 대칭을 통해 균형 잡힌 패턴과 독창적인 디자인으로 발전시키는 과정이었습니다.

서로 다른 표현 기법을 활용한 두 활동이지만, 그 안에는 관찰하고, 시도하고, 자신만의 방식으로 표현하는 공통된 배움이 담겨 있습니다. Give Chances는 청년들이 다양한 미술 기법을 경험하며 자신만의 예술 세계를 넓혀 갈 수 있도록 응원하고 있습니다. 앞으로도 DDartists 청년들이 만들어 갈 새로운 작품과 이야기에 많은 관심 부탁드립니다!
