Long Lake Conservation Center is a residential environmental learning center located near Palisade, MN. Long Lake serves schools from around MN, retreat participants, summer camp participants, and the local community.

One of the highlights of the Minnesota Astronomical Society's Northern Nights Star Party is the great photos they take of both nature and space. The comet photo was taken by Conrad Sanders, the Orion and Horsehead Nebulae, and Pleiades were taken by Paul Gade, and the photos of the Great Blue Heron were taken by Earl Bye.
