Summer Reading starts today! Read enough books between now and August 15th, and you can win either a shirt or a tote bag!

If you're a library cardholder, you can sign up for the program on Beanstack or at the library.

Summer is almost here, and that means the Palatine Library District Summer Reading Program is just around the corner!

This year, we have decided to sponsor the event! As such, we added a few things to this year's prize baskets, including an Owala water bottle and a LEGO Set.

Summer reading begins June 1st. We hope you join us, and we thank you for the support that made our gift basket contributions possible!

If you want to contribute to this year's season of Storywalk, the deadline is today! Storywalk allows families and community members to enjoy reading and the outdoors together. Your money will allow a new story to be added to the panels.

No contribution is too small to be appreciated. With a donation of $100, you can dedicate a panel to a person or group.

Storywalk named panel sponsor- The Gillies family

In memory of Sandy Gillies, "The Book Lady":

"We have lived in Palatine for 13 years and the library is why we moved to Palatine. Miss Traci in the Youth department is so welcoming and all the staff is wonderful. The library is also a very inclusive space and safe for anyone to come and feel included in the community. Palatine library creates this amazing story-walk to get our youngest readers engaged in not only reading but walking to read the next page of the story keeping our youth and families active in community with reading. Our favorite "Book Lady" Sandy Gillies passed away in March and our family couldn't think of a better way to honor her memory than by sponsoring a page of the Story Walk this year. We have sponsored for a few years now honoring different organizations that we support. This year we honor one of our own. The Gillies family LOVES the library!"

We Are Fundraising We are excited to announce that we are beginning our 2025 Annual Giving Campaign! This year, we are raising funds to add Baby and Toddler units to Palatine Library. These unique playsets allow our communities’ youngest to learn and explore in a fun and safe way.

It’s time for the yearly StoryWalk fundraiser!

Every year, the pages of a new children's book are added to the Hamilton Park Storywalk. The StoryWalk provides a fun and dynamic way for families to get outside and for kids to discover the joy of reading.

This year's story is If You Plant a Seed by Kadir Nelson. With your donations, we can pay for the panels that display the book, ensuring a fresh Storywalk experience.

With a donation of $100.00 or more, your family will be recognized on a StoryWalk panel. You can also dedicate the panel to a person or persons of your choice. Named panel donations will be accepted until mid-April.

No donation is too small to be appreciated. Thank you for your support!
