4 Years of "Green" Traditions: 2023–2026! ☘️🌍
​Today marks a special milestone for Clean Up Give Back Palatine & More. For four years straight, our crew has had the honor of not just walking in the Palatine St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but staying behind to make sure we leave our town better than we found it!
​Since 2023, it’s been our tradition to follow the floats and clear away the trash, confetti, and debris left in the wake of the celebration. It’s the ultimate "full circle" moment—celebrating our community’s spirit and then immediately rolling up our sleeves to protect it.
​2023 & 2024: Establishing the tradition of the post-parade sweep.
​2025: Our biggest turnout yet for the "cleanup crew" behind the floats.
​Today (2026): Keeping the streak alive and ensuring the parade route is spotless before the luck of the Irish even wears off!
​A huge shoutout to the kiddos and volunteers who swapped their parade waves for trash grabbers today. You are the reason Palatine stays beautiful!

Subject: Seeking Local Input for Dec 7th Clean-Up!

Hi everyone! I'm sharing this update for our annual Merry & Bright Community Clean-Up Day on Sunday, December 7th (12 PM - 3 PM).

Last year, we collected over 500 lbs of litter thanks to our amazing Palatine volunteers, and we are aiming even higher this year!

🎄 Merry & Bright Clean-Up Post
What's the plan for Sunday, Dec 7th? Just show up ready to make a difference! 💪

We'll be meeting in the Clifford's Pub (1503 N Rand Rd, Palatine, IL) parking lot at 12 PM. Here’s a quick look at what we provide and what we’ll be doing (12 PM - 3 PM):

🧤 The Tools: We supply high-quality gloves, safety vests, and plenty of bags. No need to bring anything but yourself!

☕ The Fuel: We'll have hot coffee, cocoa, and festive holiday snacks to keep the energy high and the vibes cheerful.

📍 The Mission: Our goal is to focus on the area around Clifford's Pub and Rand Road, making the immediate community sparkle for the holidays. Every single bag collected makes Palatine shine brighter.

🌟 Calling all Festive Folks! Our Annual Merry & Bright Clean-Up is Back! 🌟
It's time to trade in your rakes for reindeer antlers and help us spread some holiday cheer! Join our community effort to clean up Rand Road and Route 53 and make it sparkle for the season!

DATE: SUNDAY, December &th MEET-UP: Clifford's Pub Parking Lot (We'll start with coffee and clean up the surrounding area)

What to Expect:
Community Service: A fun, impactful morning of cleaning up our local area.

All Supplies Provided! Don't worry about gear—we've got you covered with gloves and grabbers!

Hot Cocoa & Snacks: Warm up and refuel with plenty of delicious hot chocolate ☕ and tasty snacks!

Service Hours Available! Need volunteer hours for school or an organization? We'll provide documentation!

Surprise Guests: Keep an eye out! We'll have a few special guest appearances to keep the energy high! 🤫

Best Dressed Contest: This is your moment! Wear your most outrageous, hilarious, and over-the-top festive attire! The funnier the better! We're giving a prize to the most brilliantly dressed volunteer.

Bring your enthusiasm and your funniest holiday outfit! Let's clean up and have a blast doing it!

To our community and supporters: We are seeing a recurring, false comment being posted on several of our old shoe drive posts, claiming that we "destroy" donated shoes. This is absolutely untrue and defamatory.
​The Facts About Our "Clean Up Give Back" Shoe Drive:
​Our Partner Model: Our shoe drive partnered with a legitimate social enterprise (like Soles4Souls or Funds2Orgs) that purchases gently used, wearable shoes by the pound.
​The Funds: The funds we raised were used to directly support our local community projects and teen empowerment programs.
​The Shoes' Destination: The shoes themselves were shipped overseas to developing nations, where they are sold by micro-entrepreneurs to provide low-cost footwear and create sustainable income for families in poverty. They are not destroyed.
​Our Impact: Our drive successfully collected and delivered 1,675 pairs of shoes for this dual mission.
​We are proud of the positive social and environmental impact we have made. We will be removing any further repetitive, false, or harassing comments to maintain a positive and factual space for our community. Thank you for your continued support

An amazing, sunny day for a cause! ☀️ We showed up, cleaned up, and filled up!
​Even with a smaller crew than we'd hoped for, we still had a fantastic time making our community better with a Halloween park cleanup and a small food drive for Journeys! It's a running joke that we get better weather with a smaller crowd—we'll take the sunshine and the dedication of our volunteers any day!
​Every action counts, and we're celebrating every piece of trash we picked up, every can we collected, and every laugh we shared. Thank you to our dedicated, small-but-mighty crew!
​We keep pushing ahead, no matter what, and are already looking forward to the next event!
