🐾 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT — FREE SPAY & NEUTER PROGRAM 🐾
Nothing But Love Canine Foundation is proud to announce that we are teaming up with Johnson County Animal Services to launch a FREE Spay & Neuter Program to help combat the overpopulation crisis in our community.
Lawrence County and Johnson County will serve as our pilot programs. At this time, we are not taking on additional partnerships so we can ensure these programs run smoothly and successfully. If your county needs help, please sit tight — we hope to expand in the future as resources allow, because we know the need is great.
Every day, we see firsthand how many unwanted and homeless animals are struggling. This program is designed to make a real, lasting difference — and we need community cooperation to make it successful.
🐶 How the Program Works:
• Nothing But Love Canine Foundation will cover the full cost of spay/neuter surgery.
• Judge Mark McKenzie will cover the cost of rabies vaccines (if needed).
• Anna Wells, Director, will coordinate and schedule all appointments.
✅ Program Requirements:
• All dogs in the household must be spayed or neutered.
• Applications must be fully completed. Once approved, you will receive an email requesting a photo of your dog.
• Applications must be approved before scheduling.
• No missed appointments. No-shows will become ineligible for the program. Our veterinary partners are donating extra time, and their schedules must be respected.
• Owners are responsible for transporting dogs to and from appointments.
• Please do not schedule your own appointment — we will schedule from our reserved block beginning in March.
• Applicants must live in Johnson or Lawrence County (addresses will be verified).
This is an incredible opportunity for our community, and we are deeply grateful for the partnerships and support that make this possible.

Reminder to Johnson and Lawrence County residents:

I sound like a broken record but I would like to kindly remind everyone that this is a FREE service we are providing to the community. So far, we have had 3 no-shows, and with such limited appointments available, it’s disappointing knowing there are people waiting who truly want and need these spots.

At this time, we are booked out until November. Our process is to text letting you know you are approved and ask for you to respond with a photo of your dog. If we do not hear back from you we move on. Appointments are hard to come by, so if you get a text from an 845 area code it’s me! Respond!

Please understand:

• If you do not show up for your appointment, you will no longer be eligible for our program.
• Repeatedly asking for status updates or making demands will also make you ineligible. Remember this program doesn’t cost you anything.

I run this program from New York after volunteering in your counties and seeing the tremendous need. At Nothing But Love Canine Foundation, we work, have families, other responsibilities, and I also manage 8 other programs in addition to these two. We do not take a paycheck from this foundation, we do this out of the goodness of our hearts, I work more hours weekly for this foundation than I do my paying job. I am not complaining but showing you that the only way out is spaying and neutering and I truly believe we are making a difference in your counties.

Also we do not do cats. Please don’t ask for us to do this service or make an exception.

We are doing everything we can to help as many dogs as possible. If I had more appointments available, I would gladly hand them out.

With that being said, please be patient, be kind, follow the process, and most importantly, show up to your appointments.

Thank you to the folks who showed up to get their dogs done. Special shoutout to one applicant who has FIVE dogs and has shown up for all her appointments which were on different days!
