We are still reminiscing on all the core memory moments of our spring show Seussical Jr. and we can’t wait to begin planning our fall production.

Please feel free to share your favorite Main Street Players memory in the comments below!

We would like to wish our board member Kristy Meadows a happy birthday. Kristy has been on our board for several years and she works a lot behind the scenes. We hope she has the best birthday.

Oh how we miss our junior theater cast. We are excitedly planning things to come next season but the time between one show opening and our next show auditions just feels far too long.

We can’t wait to see all our returning kids and hopefully some lovely new faces for our fall production. Be sure to keep a lookout here and on our TikTok for updates to come.

We would like to wish the happiest birthday to Rachel Crider. She does so much as our boards treasurer and as our amazing costume designer. We have no words to describe the amount of love and support Rachel gives to every person who walks through those audition room doors. Thank you Ms. Rachel and Happy Birthday.

Happy Mother’s Day. We are deeply grateful for the profoundly inspiring moms within our program. To the moms of our cast members, to our backstage moms, to the moms on our board. When we say this theater is a family we mean it and we couldn’t do any of this without you.

We had the absolute joy of so many alumni joining us last Saturday for our final performance of Seussical Jr. It’s definitely a favorite show for our company. We have had the honor of performing this show 3 separate times throughout our years so we have some photos of our alumni with their most recent counter parts.

Recent photo credits go to Shelby Conley (a wonderful alumni) and past photo credits go to our lovely Myssi Cope

It’s closing night! What a great joy this show has been and we can’t wait to continue forward.

We would be honored to have everyone come join us for our closing performance of Seussical Jr. tonight at 7pm at The Historic Sipp theater.

Tonight we celebrate our seniors and welcome all our alumni to please join us for this honorary performance.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Jeremiah Parsons, the director of Main Street Players.

Jeremiah was with the Main Street Players from Day 1 in July of 2012. He was dedicated to nurturing young performers and building a theatre community rooted in creativity, confidence, and most of all kindness. Through his leadership, countless children found their voices, their courage, and a love for the arts that will stay with them for a lifetime.

His impact extended far beyond the stage. Jeremiah was a mentor, an advocate for the arts, and a tireless believer in the potential of young people - especially in eastern Kentucky.

We extend our deepest condolences to Jeremiah’s family, friends, students, and all who were touched by his work. He will be profoundly missed, and his legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
