Johnson County Extension Homemakers To join the active Johnson County Extension Homemakers, annual dues are required every July.

Since 1936, our local non-profit volunteer organization has collaborated with UK Extension to enhance the well-being of our families and communities through leadership training, volunteer work, and educational initiatives. In addition to exclusive opportunities and a wide range of educational resources, our county hosts various clubs that hold meetings at different times each month. If your schedule or health limitations prevent you from joining a club, you can still participate as a member-at-large. This allows you to still attend meetings, workshops, and receive the monthly newsletter!

Makers’ Market Season is Here!

The dates have officially been announced for Makers’ Market Season! While we have more exciting opportunities and events planned, these are the confirmed dates that will take place at the Mountain Home Place Farm. A special thanks to our community partner, Paintsville Tourism, for their continuous support and collaboration.

Join Us!
The purpose of this market is to offer high-quality handmade and handcrafted items to our community. If you or someone you know creates such products, please send them our way! They won’t find a more welcoming opportunity this season to earn money.

💲Cost: $25 for a Season Pass, which includes a 10x10 space to set up at any or all of the Maker's Markets this season.
💙Special Offer: Paid Johnson County Extension Homemakers receive a FREE Season Pass.

To be considered a vendor at one of our Markets, please complete the online registration and submit your payment.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the food drive at Holiday Happenings: Indoor Craft Show! Your generosity has made a difference in feeding families in Johnson County. The Paintsville & Johnson County Family Resource Centers have gathered all the donations and are distributing them evenly throughout their school community. Thank you for supporting a cause that holds a special place in all our hearts.
