You may have seen our “avoid the area” post yesterday. This is B-shift stations 2 & 3 after working the garage fire on Branch Avenue.
Local 3411 members hope that you never need our services, but unfortunately, emergencies happen daily where we are needed in the township.
As you can see by these proud firefighters, their work is their craft. Always happy to respond when called and make a difference.
Pictures are not taken of them to show the unfortunate events that occur. This is instead done for future generations to embrace the significance and tradition of public service.

We don’t just share this for our friends in Chardon and Parma. Dominic is a tremendous human and brother-in-law to one of our local Painesville Township fireman. Any support or prayer for him is greatly appreciated!

Red Alert 🚨 : We need help assisting one of our own firefighters!! Chardon Firefighter / Paramedic Dominic Shea (also a full-time Parma firefighter) has been battling melanoma since 2022. Despite his strong fight, the cancer has now metastasized to his brain and is considered stage IV. Please join us for a benefit dinner to help support Dominic and his wife, Jess, through their journey. All proceeds will go directly to the Shea family.

Dominic’s father, Kevin, was a Chardon firefighter for many years. They are all part of our “fire family”. Please help us help them. If you can’t attend the dinner in Parma, consider simply donating. Contact one of the firefighters on the flyer for more info.

A big thank you is in order to Concord Twp Fire Department and Concord Professional Firefighters IAFF 3329. The invite to this live burn training created invaluable experience for our members to work on hose line advancement and fire conditions that can’t quite be matched in other controlled conditions.

At approx 2154 hrs Painesville Township along with automatic aid from Painesville City Firefighters Local 434, Concord Professional Firefighters IAFF 3329, Leroy Twp. Fire Department,Fairport Harbor Fire Department, and Perry Joint Fire District were dispatched to the intersection of Bank street and Painesville-Warren road for a commercial structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find a fully involved abandoned structure. Due to the offset of the structure from the street, the fire was difficult to access and a significant amount of supply hose had to be laid to move water to the area. Throughout the night Painesville Township firefighters will be on scene watching for hot spots in what’s left of the structure. You can expect to see smoke in the area during your morning commute. When you dial 911 and the first arriving fire truck/ambulance finds an unstable situation or person not able to be reached by normal means, this is who we call! All departments on the east end of lake county provide manpower and specialist to assist the responding crews to manage unique and unstable scenes.

Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon with your local firefighters! We'll be serving free hot dogs and hamburgers, along with popcorn, snacks, and refreshments.

Children can also take home fire safety educational materials and learn valuable tips to help keep their families safe.

This is a great opportunity to meet your firefighters, tour the station, see the equipment, and enjoy a fun day with the community.

At approx. 0939 hrs this morning Painesville Township was dispatched to the 1000 block of Madison Avenue for an attached garage fire.
Stations 1, 2 and 3 along with auto-aid from Painesville City Firefighters Local 434,
Perry Joint Fire District, Leroy Twp. Fire Department and Fairport Harbor Fire Department responded. Upon calling en route Lake County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Frank Leonbruno central dispatch updated that a significant amount of calls were being received for this incident. Station 2 was first on scene and found heavy fire in an attached garage. A transitional attack was quickly started and the fire was brought under control. We thank all the before mentioned entities who helped with this incident. 🔥 🚒 🚔 🚑
