DISCIPLINE DOESN’T CARE HOW YOU FEEL.

Motivation comes and goes.

Some mornings you’re ready to attack the day. Others, you’d rather hit snooze, skip the workout, put off the hard conversation, or tell yourself you’ll start tomorrow.

That’s why discipline matters.

Do what needs to be done — especially when you don’t feel like doing it.

Motivation gets you started. Discipline keeps you moving.

SUNDAY IS A GOOD DAY TO REMEMBER WHY YOU WORK SO HARD.

It's easy to spend your entire life chasing the next thing.

The next promotion.
The next dollar.
The next goal.
The next accomplishment.

Just don't run past the good stuff you already have.

Your wife.

Your kids.

Your friends.

A good meal.

A quiet morning.

A comfortable chair and nowhere you need to be.

Someday, these ordinary days will be the ones you miss.

So today, slow down long enough to enjoy one.

Tomorrow we get back to work.

Today, be present.

YOU'RE INVITED.

No complicated pitch.

Men need other good men in their lives.

Men to laugh with.

Men to learn from.

Men to serve alongside.

Men who will shake your hand when things are good and stand beside you when they're not.

That's why the Men of Honor exists.

We're building a brotherhood centered around three simple principles:

HONOR. STRENGTH. INTEGRITY.

If those words mean something to you, come spend an evening with us.

Have dinner.

Meet the guys.

See what we're about.

There's always room at the table for another good man.

A FRIDAY TOAST

Here's to old friends.

The guys who remember you before the job title, the gray hair, the mortgage, and all the responsibilities.

The ones who know the stories you're hoping nobody tells.

The ones you may not talk to for six months—and when you finally get together, it's like you never missed a day.

Life gets busy.

Don't let it get so busy that you lose the men who helped make it worth living.

Call an old friend this weekend.

Better yet, buy him a beer.

Here's to friendship.

And here's to a week well lived.

AGE IS NO EXCUSE

In 1824, a 15-year-old boy named Louis Braille developed a system that would eventually change the lives of millions of people.

Braille had been blinded in an accident when he was three years old.

As a student, he encountered a complicated system of raised writing that allowed people who were blind to read by touch.

He thought he could make it better.

So he did.

At an age when most of us were worried about fitting in at school, Braille was developing the foundation of the reading and writing system that still bears his name 200 years later.

There's a lesson here for young men:

You don't have to wait until you're older to matter.

You don't need a title.

You don't need decades of experience.

And you certainly don't need anyone's permission to solve a problem.

If you're old enough to see something that needs to be done, you're old enough to start doing it.

Age is no excuse.

MAN OF HONOR IN HISTORY: FRANCIS MARION

During the American Revolution, British forces controlled much of South Carolina.

Francis Marion didn't have a massive army.

He had small groups of determined men who knew the land and refused to quit.

They struck quickly, disappeared into the swamps, regrouped, and fought again.

The British called Marion "The Swamp Fox."

His militia disrupted supply lines, frustrated a much larger enemy, and helped keep the fight for independence alive in the South.

Marion's story is a reminder:

You don't always need more men.
More money.
More resources.
Or better circumstances.

Sometimes you just need to be more determined than the problem in front of you.

"If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid."
— Epictetus

Most men aren't afraid of failure.

They're afraid of looking foolish while they try.

So they don't start.

They don't ask the question.
They don't take the class.
They don't walk into the gym.
They don't start the business.
They don't attempt something they're not already good at.

That's a hell of a price to pay for protecting your ego.

Every accomplished man was once a beginner.

Be willing to suck at something long enough to become good at it.
