DoyaPalooza is coming home ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‰

After getting rained out this spring, we had to pivot away from bringing Doya Palooza back to Hotel Vegas.

And honestly? It gave us the chance to dream bigger โœจ

Instead of trying to recreate DoyaPalooza somewhere else, we asked what it could become if we brought it home to the land Doya helped shape.

So this July 4, weโ€™re hosting the biggest party weโ€™ve ever had at Austin Farm Sanctuary.

Itโ€™ll be joyful, bold, a little ridiculous, and very, very full of watermelon ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿฎ

And itโ€™s all in honor of Doya, the first pig we ever rescued, and the promise he helped shape here at AFS: when we say yes, weโ€™re saying yes to the whole life that follows.

Lives like Muffinโ€™s.

Muffin came to us blind, sick, and only 5 days old. Today, sheโ€™s thriving, seeing, running through her pasture, and reminding us exactly why lifelong care matters.

Thatโ€™s what Doya Palooza is about.

Come meet Muffin and 250+ rescued residents, join us for live music, plant-based food, local vendors, family-friendly fun, sanctuary walks, our silent auction, and the Watermelon Jamboree sponsored by ๐Ÿ‰

Weโ€™ll be sharing a lot more soon, including bands, vendors, community partners, and all the watermelon-filled details. Hereโ€™s a taste ๐Ÿ˜‰ and manyyyy more

For now: save the date, grab your tickets, and get ready.

๐Ÿฎ One of the most heartbreaking things sanctuary life has taught us is how deeply the agriculture industry disrupts family systems.

Babies and mothers.
Bonds and bodies.
The basic, instinctive need to be together.

We love celebrating Motherโ€™s Day here. We love honoring the tenderness, protection, patience, and care that mothers give.

But we would be doing this work a disservice if we only celebrated motherhood without also naming the mothers who are denied it.

In the dairy industry, calves are separated from their mothers so that the milk meant for them can be taken for human consumption. But dairy is not the only industry that breaks bonds humans have refused to fully recognize or respect.

Every bottle we give is filled with love.
And every bottle is also a reminder that babies should have had their mothers.

So today, we are holding both truths: gratitude for the people who stepped in with early mornings, late nights, and endless care, and also grief for the mothers who should have been there.

A motherโ€™s bond with her baby is sacred. We believe that bond deserves protection, no matter the species.
