It's a special time right now at the Pinnacles. Every creek in the park in flowing, along with many unnamed streams that haven't seen water in many years.

And, it doesn't happen very often but both the lower and upper sections of the Bear Gulch cave are now open. If you haven't been though the upper section before, don't miss this opportunity since it won't last very long.

Update: As of March 18th, the Balconies Cave has re-opened.

Creeks, streams, waterfalls, green grass, (check out those meadows on the upper portion of the Blue Oak Trail!), wildflowers, cool temperatures. It's time to Go Hike!

Joshua Trees are disappearing

California’s western Joshua trees are under threat from climate change, wildfire and development. Tell the Fish and Game Commission: It’s past time to protect these icons of the desert under the state’s Endangered Species Act.
