The branches made a little window for the sun, like the day wanted one last look before it left. I watched the lake turn gold under all that color and felt something in me stop arguing. Lately, I have been so busy keeping up that I forgot how good it feels to simply notice. Maybe that is what quiet gives back to us, not answers, just enough room to still feel whole for a moment again, even now. 🌅🍃

RAINBOW IN A FIRESTORM SKY

That rainbow looks like it’s been into the storm’s spine .. one clean arc of color inside a sky that’s exploding with sunset reds.

This can happen when late-day sunlight punches through a break in the cloud deck while a narrow rain curtain hangs in the distance. The storm core stays dark, the edges glow, and the rainbow pops hardest where the droplets are densest.

Where you can see that:
Coastal horizons and wide-open skies after fast-moving squalls .. Oregon & Washington coast, Northern California, Nova Scotia, Ireland’s west coast, Scotland’s Highlands coast, Norway’s Atlantic coast, or New Zealand’s South Island.
