Our prayers go out to everyone in Las Vegas for the NBHA race affected by one very unhinged individual. We are so sorry for the horses that were injured and the families that love and take care of those horses. Hurting an innocent animal is so disgusting and we are praying for a quick recovery.

Our thoughts are also with the South Point staff and the producers of this event. No producer wants something like this to happen at their event and as a fellow producer my heart goes out to them.

Love on your horses a little extra today and be kind to each other.

Hello everyone! Do you ever have a conversation with the man in your life and understand very clearly why we outlive them? Let me tell you about the conversation I had with the Well Bred Halter Horse...

WBHH: "I don't feel so good today..."
ME: "Oh no...do you think you are getting sick?"
WBHH: "Well, maybe it was the lunchmeat I ate."
ME: "Is it old?"
(WBHH opens fridge and pulls out lunchmeat package)
WBHH: "It doesn't expire for 4 days."
ME: "But that date only applies if it wasn't opened. Do you know when you originally opened it?"
WBHH: "It's been awhile, I don't even remember."
ME: ..........
WBHH: "Yeah, that's probably not it."

Yeah...he is still alive but I feel like maybe I need to supervise him a little closer.

Can you believe it is already May?!? We are getting closer to entry day! For those of you that are sending in sponsorship/donation checks, I will email all of you the first week of July to let you know how the pre-entry process will work for you. If you are mailing a check please make sure it goes to PO Box 96. We had a sponsor accidentally send a check to PO Box 95 and let me tell you that getting that check back from the occupant of that PO Box has been an adventure. Let's just say that she feels that asking a stranger to prove that they actually live in this little town before returning their mail is not unhinged at all. I am now referring to this as the hostage negotiation.

We will still take pre-entry sponsorship checks up until July 10th. If you have already sent yours and would like to send a logo please get it to [email protected] as soon as you can. If you have not sent one yet, please include the sponsorship form that you can find at www.bucklesandbarrels4bailey.com under the tab downloads. I am trying to get more organized this year which should lead to less swearing and banging of my head on the computer keyboard during tax season. Please help, the Well Bred Halter Horse always looks nervous when I start talking to myself.

If you are a sponsor $5000 or more, please let me know ASAP. I need to start getting logo to our embroidery company, artwork people and video production. Jackets will be started this month.

We will be doing the raffle for the Trails West MXII 3 horse bumper pull trailer again. You do not need to be present to win but the winner is responsible for all transportation, taxes and fees. We will also have a few other prizes that we will give away during that drawing for a 7 piece set of DeWalt tools, a Blackstone Grill and a $200 Amazon gift card. 2nd-4th prizes will be shipped through Amazon this year so you do not need to be present to win. For anyone that won a free entry through a charity raffle or by drawing a card at the 2025 race please send me an email the first week of July. I will let you know the process for getting your entry completed.

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! I would like to tell you that I am doing something productive but that would be a lie. I am currently chugging a purple monster hoping for some magical motivation. The chances of me not moving from this spot and continuing to binge watch Shameless for the rest of the afternoon is high.

I wanted to put out a few reminders....for those of you sending in sponsorships please email me any logos that I do not already have to [email protected] as soon as possible. I also wanted to update you on our trip to San Antonio to meet some families with kids in cancer treatment during the stock show and rodeo last month. We were supposed to meet with six families but unfortunately one of the kids had a set back and their immune system wasn't strong enough for them to make it to the event. We mailed one check and then met five amazing families. I have to tell you all that meeting these kids in person in life changing! I got the sweetest hug from one little boy who told me he is going to add Bailey to his prayer list. One mom started sobbing when she opened our check. She told us that her husband had just been laid off the previous week and with the medical bills they decided they would have to put their house up for sale. She told us she said a prayer right before they came to the rodeo asking God for help. I cried right there with her. It makes us look at each other and know that we are on the right path and when things are difficult people like her are why we keep going.

I want to share this story with all of you because I want you to know that WE make this happen. When I say we I mean all of you too. Without our amazing contestants, sponsors, volunteers, the South Point and family this wouldn't be possible. When that mom cried and hugged us I wish all of you could have been there to see a prayer being answered in real time. Thank you all for helping to bring some hope to a family that is struggling.

I have had some questions about silent auction items. If you want to mail them ahead of time just send me a message and I will get you the address. Sending me a text is always the best way to get ahold of me. I don't know about the rest of you but the telemarketers are out of control. I get about 10 spam calls a day. Now instead of car warranties I apparently have been approved for a line of credit. I feel like changing my greeting on my voicemail to something that insinuates that I am taking volunteers for an experimental drug that causes fish breath, exploding diarrhea and moon face but will make your drop 20 pounds in a week. 🤔 So if you get to my voicemail and it is weird just know I finally snapped...

For all my procrastinators....the cutoff date for using the discount code is August 10th! After that date you will have to call the South Point and sound sad, maybe cry a little to avoid the prevailing rate. Please everyone, use the South Point website only! I had several people last year that used other websites that charged them full price up front and then refused to give refunds when those people had to cancel. Please do not get scammed! The South Point website will only take a deposit and you have until 48 hours before check in to cancel.

I am off to make dinner. This Martha Stewart life is a rough one but Well Bred Halter horses must be fed! No one likes a hangry halter horse....

Hello my fabulous BB4B community! We have survived snomegeddon 2026! I can tell you all that I am not made for cold weather. You know who is made for it? Two of my "staff" members. The Newfoundland and the Great Pyrenes could not be happier. It was 17 degrees the other night and I tried to get my ice covered Newfie inside. He looked at me the same way I look at the Well Bred Halter Horse when he says I should share my cheetos. If a dog could laugh in your face and say "make me" that is the situation I was in. The Pyrenes kept herself warm by barking for 5 hours straight at an imaginary intruder. She is currently sound asleep, exhausted from protecting her ungrateful humans.

I always try to give you all an update in January about the accomplishments of the prior year. I want you all to understand that WE did this as a group. For everyone that buys a raffle ticket or t-shirt, donates, enterers or volunteers you have contributed to the success of this charity. We gave away just under $100,000 in 2025 to families in terrible circumstances. I really wish you could all be there when some of these families open their checks. It is a God moment when someone tells us that they didn't know how they were going to pay rent next week and then we showed up with a check. We also contributed to the Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray Foundation. They are the organization that made it possible for Bailey to receive gene therapy and are in the fight to cure this terrible disease. They have a new treatment and have families lined up for it but need funding to make it happen. Imagine being a parent with a child that has a terminal, degenerative disease and knowing that there is a treatment that is just out of reach. We donated $30,000 to try and get this treatment out to these families.

We have started out 2026 with some serious momentum. We have already given away six checks and are scheduled to give out six more at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on February 15th. I have attached a link of the Odessa rodeo and our partnership with Ropin' Dreams where a very special family was given a shopping trip to Boot Barn and tickets to the rodeo. We presented them with a check and it was an honor to do so. Thank you all for helping us to follow this path that God has placed us on. We could not do this without you!

I was not aware that if you go to Walmart right after snomegeddon there is a dress code. If you also do not know the dress code I will help you. It is jammie pants (preferably with a cartoon character on them) crocs and flannel shirts. I am a little confused about the crocs because I feel like ice is not the appropriate surface for that footwear choice. To each their own.....

I hope you all are having an amazing New Year! The Well Bred Halter Horse and I have given up sugar for a 21 day fasting event with our church. Is sugar deprivation a defense for homicide? No one panic and do a welfare check on the halter horse. I will send proof of life if necessary....

I am going to post a few things here today and will also send them on to our website creator. I have attached and early flier just so everyone can save the dates, a donation form and the sponsor level form. Feel free to send me a message with any questions or call/text me at (702)461-0468.

We are considering taking the money that we spend on average prizes and using it as added money for the average. We will still give away saddles, buckles and some tack or items that our sponsors donate, but mostly we will hand out cash. Every year I end up taking a bunch of unclaimed prizes home with us. I know that some of you are saying, "You should ship those!" Well the cost of shipping some of those heavy items is just not worth it. I will hand you cash and you can go buy something shiny!

Sponsor letters for your taxes went out last week. If you did not get yours or it was not correct, please email me at [email protected] and I will get it fixed. 1099's go out next week. If you won more than $600 one will be headed your way.

I am working on some fun sidepots and give aways. We will have the high stakes race again with a 90% payback and we are adding $25,000 to the open every day. ENTRIES OPEN JULY 25TH AT 10AM PACIFIC TIME.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving. Am I the only one that that starts referring to my fat pants as just regular pants during this time of year? Just checking...

I wanted to give some upcoming dates as you all start planning your schedules for next year. BB4B 2026 will be September 4th-6th this year. We will have $25,000 added per day. We will open general entries on July 25th at 12pm pacific time. We sold out in a record breaking 3 minutes and 45 seconds last year so have your fast fingers ready!

We will open up pre-entry sponsorships on February 1st. If you want to be guaranteed an entry spot, first assignment of stalls and early move in this is your chance. For a sponsorship of $1000 or more you will be given 2 pre-entry spots that you can use yourself or you can use one and share with a buddy. The last day to submit a pre-entry sponsorship will be July 11th. I need time to invite all the pre-entries before we open up general entries. I will post a form for you to use here and on our website at www.bucklesandbarrels4bailey.com.

I will be sending out letters to all of the 2025 sponsors for your tax deduction the last week of December. If you won over $600 or a prize worth over that amount, I will be sending out 1099's the first week of January.

So how many of you are going to do some liver destruction at the NFR this week? I love this time of year in Vegas! It's like the gathering of our people. I have some awesome advice for you...If you do in fact punish your liver or are afraid of the NFR crud that everyone seems to bring home, please go see my friend Winter who has The IV Club! She will get you feeling brand new again and can help boost your immune system. She will be at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Cowboy Christmas) in the South Hall. I mean, some of you are going to take that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" very seriously. I'm not judging! I am trying to be helpful! Who or what you put your lips on is absolutely none of my business. I don't know if she has antibiotics though so please make good decisions!

The three of your checks will go out tomorrow. Two of you had w9's that were filed incorrectly and one of you had different names on your w9 and check but I am a detective and figured that out on my own. I feel like a deserve a gold star!🤣🤣

Now...this is the list of people that I still do not have w9's for. This will be the last post I make about this before I wait for a full moon and build a fire and use those checks for s'more fuel. Don't asked me why it will be a full moon but I feel like that adds ambiance to my story....

I have been through them about 100 times, its not there. Even if you filled out a w9 last year I will still need one for 2025. The IRS frowns upon me carrying over forms from previous years.
